I have connected my PC to an HD TV before using HDMI and to be honest I prefer using a monitor on a desk. I'm simply more skilled when I'm sitting very close to the screen because I can see every little detail better. Also, you may not have to deal with horrible framerates, but 28 fps isn't particulary good either.XxXSarenXxX wrote...

I don't like gaming on HDTVs either, mostly because of the massive pixel size. I game on a 30 inch LCD monitor with 2560x1600 rez, so the pixels are really small and everything looks crisp and clear.

No need to fight, but I have to say that PC games usualy have always horrible FPS problems and lagging, whatnot. On console it's hardly a problem.
It's why I play on consoles, to get STEADY and great experience without having to see tons of trouble to make it work properly. Plus, thanks to sitting so close to my screen while playing PC games, I lost my perfect vision.
Some poeple pefere consoles, others PC, deal with it.

Not fighting here, just posting an opinion. I've been a console gamer since I got a Super Nintendo at the age of five and own at least one console of every generation that came after. I just prefer Mass Effect on PC. One of the reasons is framerate. You say PC games usually have horrible framerates, but that's because of the quality of the PC, not the game. ME1 on Xbox 360 is 24 frames per second, ME2 is 30 fps, and ME3 is 28 fps. On my budget PC it's 60, 60 and 60, but only because it's capped at 60. It's not a lot of work to get framerates like that, you just install the game and play it on a decent machine.Arppis wrote...

I want to make clear that this post is in no way meant to be offensive. Since you seem to think my last comment was an attempt at fighting I feel the need to say this literally. Enjoying quality is not a crime and I don't think less of people who can enjoy playing games at low framerates. In fact I envy them.

Your comments aren't rude so much as they are misinformed.
First off, a PC gamer can connect his PC to a HDTV just like you can. All video cards these days come with HDMI outputs or HDMI adapters.
Secondly, not only will the PC user enjoy smoother framerates than you, he will also be able to play the game at native 1080p rez.....something which the 360 cannot do, and instead resorts to upscaling which stretches the image.
While Mass effect 1 and 2 did not support 1080p for the 360 #3 does (the ps3 version still does not but the 360 version does) and i guess for me it comes down to i spent 250$ on a 360, 6 years ago and when i buy a game for it i know it will run, PC while on top of the hardware department costs ASTRANOMICALLY more $ if you wish to stay up to date with the specs to run your games, my PC is a 2002 windows XP that allows me to play Baldurs gate and surf the internet and to be honest thats all i really need it to do.

Can you post proof of that? I highly doubt that if they had to remove animations in combat to save 2-4 MB RAM they had enough memory to render natively at 1080p.XxXSarenXxX wrote...
