I wish I never sold my N64.. one of the true regrets I hold from the 90s... (that and selling my Milli Vanilli limited edition LPs, gutting..).Tsantilas wrote...

Not fighting here, just posting an opinion. I've been a console gamer since I got a Super Nintendo at the age of five and own at least one console of every generation that came after. I just prefer Mass Effect on PC. One of the reasons is framerate. You say PC games usually have horrible framerates, but that's because of the quality of the PC, not the game. ME1 on Xbox 360 is 24 frames per second, ME2 is 30 fps, and ME3 is 28 fps. On my budget PC it's 60, 60 and 60, but only because it's capped at 60. It's not a lot of work to get framerates like that, you just install the game and play it on a decent machine.Arppis wrote...

I have connected my PC to an HD TV before using HDMI and to be honest I prefer using a monitor on a desk. I'm simply more skilled when I'm sitting very close to the screen because I can see every little detail better. Also, you may not have to deal with horrible framerates, but 28 fps isn't particulary good either.XxXSarenXxX wrote...
Xbox 360, i enjoy the luxury of a 65 inch high definition television screen PC junkies dont get and i dont have to deal with horible frame rates and loading screens the PS3 users will, and if this is coming off as rude then im going to have to respond with What do you expect? a question like this is obviously going to provoke a console war flame thread... lol
No need to fight, but I have to say that PC games usualy have always horrible FPS problems and lagging, whatnot. On console it's hardly a problem.
It's why I play on consoles, to get STEADY and great experience without having to see tons of trouble to make it work properly. Plus, thanks to sitting so close to my screen while playing PC games, I lost my perfect vision.
Some poeple pefere consoles, others PC, deal with it.
I want to make clear that this post is in no way meant to be offensive. Since you seem to think my last comment was an attempt at fighting I feel the need to say this literally. Enjoying quality is not a crime and I don't think less of people who can enjoy playing games at low framerates. In fact I envy them.
Rightou.

I can't play a game with a keyboard to save my life, plus I don't think my PC can handle any of the Mass Effect games.

PC, i can't use a controller even if you put a gun to my head
I found it amusing that these two posts came one after the other. But only if it was a coincidence and not by design.
I'm really good at using a controller (but not the best by a long shot) and I can hold my own using a K/M combo.
For me the deciding factor is usually the fact that 1) I have an ergonomic keyboard that I really love because it makes typing a breeze but is horrible for games and 2) my desk isn't designed for gaming and so I get serious wrist strain when using my mouse for games. I played KOTOR on PC and that game is one of many that absolutely cannot be played with a controller due to the way the UI is designed and so for the entire time I was playing and a few days after I finished my wrist felt horrible.
I figure why buy a new keyboard, a new desk, and adapt fully for the different control scheme when I can pay $40 for a wireless controller adapter and Xpadder to accomplish the same overall task?
EDIT: I could theoretically cut a new keyboard slide that was wide enough for a mouse to fit comfortably and install it in place of what I have but it's way more of a hassle than I really want to deal with.

PC, I really sucked at using analog controller
There's a fairly steep learning curve for it for sure. It took me a while to get used to aiming on the controller and even longer to get good at moving while aiming.
