Yup, just wondering if I bought a physical standard edition if I could upgrade to deluxe on Origin?
Can ME3 standard edition be upgraded to deluxe post launch?

depends if it's worth it to you. You still have a few days (*dies*) to cancel the pre-order and re-pre-order the Digital Deluxe.

I thought about doing that, but I was wondering if I could just keep my pre order at gamestop to get their pre order stuff, then after registering it on origin if I could pay the extra 20 bucks to get the digital upgrade, more or less.

OT: Does the digital deluxe include the N7 hoodie? It says it days but if its a digital deluxe how do you get the hoodie? They mail it to you? not too clear on that. Been googling to try and find an answer but no such luck.
EDIT: nvm I understand now. It's an ingame hoodie you can have Shepard wear I think.

I could have sworn that at some point last year, early pre-orders were supposed to be given a free upgrade to the deluxe? Does anyone have any info on that or am I misremembering?
(pre-ordered in March of 2011 from Amazon)

You are confusing it with the DA2 SE that was only available for early preorders.SGhost wrote...

Sorry to sound a jerk but what is the logic behind this action, it would have made much more sense to pre-order the DDE on Origin to begin with and only THEN a standard copy just for having an hard copy of the game maybe later in the year after the natural price drop.
I don't really get what you mean with upgrading.....yes i think some of the goodies will be available as separate DLC but not everything though....so if you really want to get everything pre-order the DDE on Origin and cancel the standard copy...you can eventually buy that later at cheaper price

Odds are high "pre-order" content will not fully be added to any DLCs or that you can upgrade your standard copy to Digital Deluxe after purchase. Don't think they will pull those off the market though, so you can order afterwards a separate Digital Deluxe like they have done with Mass Effect 2.
Though whats the real point owning 2 copies of the same game. Aside of borrowing one to a friends, but since you have to register it to a Origin account and I don't think account sharing the the best option. Not sure what EULA-agreement says about account sharing, don't really bother about that part as it's something I refuse to do in anygame.

I'll bump this because I have the same question. I like alternate outfits for my squadmates and while From Ashes will have some, the DDE has a different set as far as I can tell. Any chance that we could pay the $20 difference at this point, or $10 difference if we buy From Ashes separately and get access to the DDE's goodies?

Highly unlikely. Why not just buy the DDE and return your gamestop copy unopened? I don't think they take the preorder code back.

quick answer, no. The bonus digital deluxe will be gone and gone, but the preorder stuff won't.

Right now there is no way to upgrade standard version to digital deluxe edition?

Nope, no way at the moment.
What, EA does not allow me a way to give them another $20? For shame.
