Hey, stupid question, but I've been playing for a while and I buy the Veteran pack every time I can, but I never unlock new characters. I heard here that's how you're supposed to do it.
Do I just have to play a lot to unlock anything, or should I choose the Basic pack to unlock characters? Not sure what I'm doing wrong.
How do you unlock different races/genders?

Luck. I'd keep picking the Veteran Packs. Just keep in mind it's a low % chance with each pack. I still haven't unlocked the Asari Adept.
