Right now I'm on the final mission on the collectors base.  I just got to the part where you need a biotic to create a barrier to keep the swarmy things off of you, and I can't seem to take cover. 
I'm playing on the steam version, using a keyboard.  I've tried remapping the key and restoring them all to default.  My character is still able to run and activate things, but he won't take cover.  Its not letting me go any further, because at one point you need to take cover to go over all wall and my character keeps getting left behind and offed by the swarm.
