Everyone! We shall go on to the end. We shall fight in the Forums, we shall fight on the sites and their comment pages, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength on the internet, we shall defend our cause, whatever the cost may be. We shall fight on the blogs, we shall fight on the Twitter Feeds, we shall fight on the Facebook pages and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender. RE-TAKE MASS EFFECT 3!!
We will do exactly that, good sir! Never forget!

Black Isle or Interplay, probably.
Redding would be the logical next location, but nearly every unvisited location in the game (besides San Francisco/Navarro and Vault City/Gecko) are south-east of the Den.
EDIT: Oh, also.

The Story So Far:
Paragon, in an epic quest to save the BioWare Social Network, retrieves the Nameless Doll for Vic and Metzger, in the hopes that the doll would inspire Vic to write better endings for Mass Effect 3. But Paragon's boasts about working on the endings whips the addicted, hateful Husks into a frenzy and all hell breaks loose. Paragon sneaks Vic out of Metzger's compound in the chaos, but even though Vic was supposed to help our hero find the Infinity Engine Creation Kit to save BioWare, Paragon had other things on his mind.
: NEVAR FORGET! HOLD THE LINE! SUCH AND SUCH!-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chapter 7:
As the fighting that started in The Den breaks out to all corners of the internet, our hero spends a moment to mourn those who had fallen.
: S-so many pe-people... people who just l-loved Mass... Effect 3... just wanted to defend BioWare's artistic integrity...
: Hey, look Paragon, we can't stay here. We're still too close to The Den. We're barely out of the city.
: Well o-okay but...
: Don't worry, we'll get a chance to rest up and have plenty of time to rest up, or in your case, catch up on the Mass Effect 3 situation. You'll get your chance to grieve, or rage. But we need to keep moving forward for now, Paragon.
: T-then, lead the w-way, Vic...Wiping the tears from his face, our hero takes comfort in Vic's words.
Vic was certainly a reassuring presence for our hero. His commanding yet warm voice, his confidence, his logic. Paragon had felt immediately at ease the moment Vic had offered to help him find the Infinity Engine Creation Kit.
The two set out for this city in the South East.
...
Vic and Paragon don't get very far however, before the warring factions of pro and anti Mass Effect 3 get in their way. The war was spreading quickly.

Luckily for our hero and his companion, they weren't much interested in the two of them. Rather, they were too busy fighting amongst themselves.

: BioWare can't change the endings! It's bad for art and sets a dangerous precedent!
: CHOICES and CO-C-CONSEQUENCES... A, b OR c? WH-WHABOUT r, B or G?
The battle rages on, but it's clear to Paragon and Vic which side would emerge victorious in this particular struggle.
: RETAKE MASS EFFECT BIOWARE SUCKS BLAAGHH!!1!11!1!!!oneoneThe actions of these addicts, Retakers and haters were reprehensible. The savagery with which they attacked BioWare and it's fans was beyond what Paragon had imagined possible.

Truly, they were more animal than man.
It filled Paragon with anger, knowing that many good people had been felled by the barbarians who dared hold a negative opinion about Mass Effect 3's endings.
With the loyal BioWare Collectors taken care of - dead or fleeing - the addicts and Retake Mass Effect members turn their attention to our hero and Vic.

: We better get going, Paragon. This is no longer safe for us.
: We fight or we die, that's the plan.
: That's a terrible plan. What kind of idiot would think that up?
: Leave if you wish, Vic. I will HOLD THE LINE!
: But isn't that what they sa... ugh never mind.Furious at the destructive nature of these addicts, haters and Retake Mass Effecters, Paragon decides to fight fire with fire. The concept doesn't come naturally to him - he is not an innately violent person but he makes an exception for these especially heinous Retake Mass Effecters. Paragon closes his eyes and swings as hard as he can.
As his fist connects with the face of a screaming hater, a feeling of glorious righteousness surges through him. The Retake Mass Effecter falls backward and slumps over, the back of her head crashing into the ground. She's instantly knocked unconscious and is down for the count.

: GARRRGGHHH!!!The remaining Retake Mass Effecters round in on Vic, cornering him.

: Okay, this isn't a request anymore, Paragon. If you don't run now, you'll be killed! You have to leave, now.Paragon's hands were shaking, the adrenaline was coursing through his veins. Knocking out that Retake Mass Effecter was exhilarating. Our hero had not felt so alive since he bedded Liara in Mass Effect 1. But he still had the mental clarity to acknowledge that Vic was right. He had not lost himself yet. Still, that didn't explain how Vic himself would get out of this situation safely.
: What about you, Vic?!
: I'll be fine, just get going. I'll meet you as soon as I can. Make your way South East, find the closest city and wait for me. If I'm right, you'll be okay. The city there won't lead you directly to the Infinity Engine Creation Kit, but it'll be a safe haven for a guy like you and it'll give you time to plan out your next move. Now go!Paragon took Vic's wise advice and once again, fled the battlefield in shame.
As he runs away from the pack of haters, our hero looks back every few seconds, worrying about how Vic could get out of this predicament. As Vic and the Retakers become smaller and smaller until they become but blips on his horizon, Paragon realizes that he may have just seen his newly made friend for the last time.
Guilty, he heads in the direction of the safe haven Vic mentions. Still in the South East. Perhaps Vic had intended for the two of them to rest there before heading to the "city" he kept talking about.
...
: MASS EFFECT 3 ENDING IS TERRIBLE! IT'S WORSE THAN KOTOR 2!! RRAAAGGGHHH!!
: Oh, you won't live to regret those words, hombré....

Paragon follows Vic's instructions to the letter. He holds out some hope that he would be able to see Vic again, but the possibility of Vic surviving was low. Unfortunately for our hero, he has been travelling for a number of hours, so making camp and resting soon was becoming a necessity - giving him plenty of time to mull over his failures and Vic's sacrifice.

Our hero knows that his bitter experiences in the past day or two would serve him well in the future - he's become more physically capable in combat and is able to move more swiftly without attracting attention. Neither of those skills however, provides him much comfort.
: Godammit... I hate those Retakers! Can't they just respect BioWare's artistic integrity and leave us alone?! So many have suffered! Why even save the BSN if those haters are the only people left?!Paragon flips his sleeping bag open and grumpily slips in for the night. No Mass Effect fanfiction browsing for tonight, he was simply too angry with himself - and the Retakers - to even bother.
...
Our hero wakes up early the next morning, he really wasn't able to get much sleep. He thought long and hard at what he had seen and experienced. Vic, the retakers. He even thought about his purpose for embarking on this quest. Now awake again, he dwells on that issue a bit further and comes to an important realization. Before he's able to act or even express that realization however, his thoughts are abruptly interrupted by what he sees in front of him.
To his surprise, another sleeping bag was placed next to his. His thoughts immediately turned to a vagrant or thief looking to swindle him, but as he jumped out of the sleeping bag to catch his potential foe off-guard, he stops in his tracks, gobsmacked.

: Vic! You're alive! Thank the Maker! You're okay, aren't you? How did you get away from the Retakers?
: Oh, we had umm... a friendly chat. They let me go.
: What? I thought they can't be reasoned with.
: They uhh... th-they can. We talked and I got away just fine. They even gave me a couple of gifts, like this nifty jacket. I also got something for you. A nice piece of armor. Here, try it on.
: Thanks Vic, you're a great guy. I'm glad to have you with me. I'm just so happy that you're okay.
: Hey, you saved me from Metzger, it's the least I can do. Besides, we're buddies now. You can trust me.Paragon, reunited with his friend after their short separation, packs up his equipment and continues on in high spirits.
...
It isn't long until the two of them reach the "safe haven" Vic speaks of.

: So, what's the deal with this place, Vic?
: Well, it's pretty isolated from the Retakers and their war with the Collectors. But it has it's fair share of troubles. You see, it's a prosperous place, but it needs direction and leadership for the future and there are various factions who want that leadership, jostling for position. It might get nasty. But well, that's not really our problem to deal with. We're just here to rest up and get supplies.
: I'm not so sure Vic. If it's relevant to BioWare and the BSN, it's relevant to my quest. Ms Merizan tasked me with finding the Infinity Engine Creation Kit, but more than anything, she wanted me to restore peace to the BSN. Simply finding the Creation Kit, or helping you finish Mass Effect 3's story won't do that on it's own.
: (muttering to himself) Tch... was hoping he forgot about that...
: It's clear to me now that as well as finding the Infinity Engine Creation Kit, I have to help it's outlying communities to the best of my ability. When I thought you were lost to the Retakers Vic, it made me realize - who am I saving the BSN for? The Retakers? Finding the Infinity Engine Creation Kit might be what Ms Merizan wants me to do, but unless the BSN is a community BioWare can be proud of, there is no point to this task at all.
: (thinking to himself) You'll be at this for a long while yet, if that if your opinion.
: Look, we'll start small, Vic. We'll start here. One person at a time, that person right there. Maybe we can find some more information about the situation here from him. From there, who knows?
: Hello, greetings good sir. Might you be so kind as to answer a few questions I might have about this place?
: I WANT TO BE A DURRGON!!Paragon soon found himself agreeing with Vic, even if he didn't realize it - if this man were to be any indication, our hero would be at this for a long while yet. A long while indeed. Such is the price of being a Paragon.
-------------------|(End of Chapter 7.)
Hope you enjoyed reading it!
I wasn't particularly happy with this chapter (too dramatic and serious, not enough lighthearted jokes and awkward ME pic spam, also felt a bit filler-y), but it was kind of necessary in setting the tone for future events and chapters, especially since I didn't want every location to focus on the RME thing. So, Dragon Age is thrown into the mix now. Hopefully that means I get a chance to add more lulz in the next chapter!

Well, the story is about Paragon saving BioWare/BSN and I'd say Dragon Age is pretty relevant to that. It was always my intention to focus on different aspects of BioWare or RPGs in each location, not just have everything about Mass Effect 3. Klamath was about Obsidian, for example.
It just turned out that way because of all the press and lulz that happened after ME 3's release. Besides, I gotta pace myself. PAX (and BioWare's ME 3 announcement) is still next month and I don't want to burn out on Mass Effect 3 material before then.
I've had most of the LP's story structure mapped out in my head since the beginning and for the most part, I've kept to it so far. So don't worry too much about me going off and losing the plot.

The Story So Far:
Paragon, in an epic quest to save the BioWare Social Network, saves Vic the writer from the dastardly Retake Mass Effecters who wished to do him harm back in The Den. Leaving behind poor Metzger and the hapless Mass Effect fans to their fate, our hero moves towards the South East at Vic's direction.
After a close shave with the Retakers, they find themselves in yet another town suffering the effects of BioWare's woes. Paragon, after pledging to save the BSN using the Infinity Engine Creation Kit, goes on to pledge that each and every good town would be saved too.
: I like glitter and flowers and rainbows.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chapter 8:
: So, Paragon, what's the plan? You said you wanted to help this place, but all we've done is talk to a crazy, nonsensical drug addict.
: You don't know what I've been through, man.
: Well Vic, we need to get in touch with the people in charge. We'll investigate and find out if there's anything we can do for this place.
: I used to be a Champion, they said I was the most important person in the world. But then they came and I wanted to be a DURRGON. Then some old shemale in drag told me that I could never be a DURRGON. And before that, my sister died.
: ...Cool story bro. Paragon?Vic motions our hero for them to leave but Paragon, fascinated with the man's tale, allows him to continue.
: What happened to you? Who are "they"?
: I don't know what they are called. But they are hideous beasts. They attacked us in the mines. Endless numbers of them, wave after wave. They parachuted on top of us in the mines, moaning and wailing. It was terrifying. We fled to the surface and we took out the ones who followed us...
: The rest stayed down in the mines.
: ... Then what happened?
: News of the attack spread, it's thrown everyone into a panic. There's confusion over what the town should do to quell the monsters. Some think of bringing in outside powers. We've got different people wanting to push the town in different directions. I don't know whether to be happy, angry or snarky about it.Paragon turns to Vic, eager to get the companion's perspective on the man's story.
: Do you think... do you think it could be related to the Retaker movement? It sounds awfully similar and I feel as if I should know this person.
: Honestly Paragon, I don't care all that much. If you want to listen to this rambling lunatic, that's your decision. I only wanted us to rest here and move on, not get involved in this town's problems.Whoa, where did that come from, Paragon wondered. Surprised by Vic's dissmissive attitude, Paragon turns back to the drug addict.
: So, what's the town going to do about this problem? And who's Ascorti?
: Oh he's the leader of this place. He's great. He hooked me up to a Lyrium IV drip to help me deal with my nightmares. So now I just press a button an-
: Don't you dare finish that sentence, you hopped up junkie.Paragon turns to Vic, "he's not as bad as you make him out to be", he whispers to his friend. "He's just traumatized by what he's experienced and the drugs have just made things worse."
Turning back to the drug addict, Paragon gives the man a warm smile and thanks the man for his assistance. The two walk away from him, Paragon insisting that they see Ascorti, the leader of this town, in order to learn more about the attack from the Retakers (?).
...

Arriving at the building with Ascorti's name on the front, Paragon realizes that the town hall was actually a casino of sorts.
Our hero sees many people inside, gambling their hard earned money in the hopes of winning more. Ignoring them, he heads straight to the well dressed man standing on his own. He had a greasly look to him, but he was probably the Ascorti that the man outside spoke of.

: Hello! Greetings good s-
: Welcome, welcome my good friends! It's awesome of you to come! Have a drink, have a gamble, don't miss out on any of the fun!
: Thank you for the kind greetings. We talked to the man outside...
: Ahh... Marian. Yes, I know what you want to ask about. He's correct. We've been attacked by monsters called Darkspawn, they flooded our gold mines with negative opinions and their constant moaning. We bombed the entrance to the mines to stop them from attacking us up here.
: But now it just means we can't access the gold mine, which has put the town's growth and reputation in jeopardy. It also seems like we've just made the Darkspawn angrier.
: Well, how can we help?
: Without the gold mine, we're directionless. All of our other plans hinge on the gold from the mine. WE NEED THE MONEY. But we can do without the gold, as long as we can get something to help us with the other projects and give us some direction.
: Well then, what do you need?
: There's something buried deep within the mines. It's a device, something that changes the nature of a man, make everything great again. If you can retrieve the item from the mine, you would be able to give us direction and move forward into the future. I call this item, the AWESOME BU-
: I can't listen to this anymore. This entire operation is nefarious, I'm shutting you down, scumbag.Without warning, Vic draws his weapon and aims at straight at Ascorti. For his part, Ascorti reacts quickly, drawing his weapon as well. Many of the guards within the establishment also react. Within seconds, half a dozen people took sure aim at Vic.
Everyone was tense, just waiting for Vic or Ascorti to shoot at each other.
Paragon steps inbetween the two men and decides to take charge, defusing the situation before they pass the point of no return.

: Stand down, Vic. Put your weapon away. With a grunt, Vic reluctantly puts his gun away.
: ... *sighs* ... Fine. I still owe you, Paragon and I promised to see your quest through to the end.Our hero quickly snatches the gun out of Vic's hands and packs it into his bag with one swift and elegant movement, breathing a sigh of relief afterwards. He then motions to the guards, letting them know that there was no need to worry.
Ascorti soon does the same, and the guards relax their stance, lowering their weapons.

: Heh, that was an exciting, blood pumping moment, wasn't it? Anyway, that's our town's situation. You can go into the mines and help. But before you go, do you wanna buy this new Dragon Age 2 expansion?
: Great! What's the new features and story?
: Well uhh... it's actually not done yet, but it's a Collector's Edition copy. So if you could get that gold flowing again, we could finish it and it'd be worth more than twice as much then!
: Umm... how much is it?
: You can buy it for $50, there'll even $950 worth of DLC when it comes out!!
: Any romance DLC? I always wanted to romance the Arishok. I always get so jealous of the Viscount's Son. Sometimes when I play a Mage, I roleplay that my character is really Saemus with a shapeshifting ability.
: Uhh... I'll get back to you on that.
: (thinking to himself) Maybe being stuck in Metzger's compound listening to that Starchild song over and over and over again would've been better for me... at least I would've gotten some cupcakes.
: You know, don't worry about the expansion for now. The AWESOME B... (looks at Vic) the device is what's important now. Retrieve it, then come back so we can discuss where to move and evolve in the future.
: We'll get on it right away!
: If you are able to somehow retrieve it, there are lots of people with clashing opinions, so be smart and make the right choice by keeping your finger... on the pulse!---------------(End of Chapter 8.)

The following image after that sentence and what's contained within it just makes the sentence all the more deep and meaningful. I love that guy's avatar too. I never knew Paragon had an obsession with wanting to romance the Arishok. I feel sorry for the guy expecially since he sometimes imagines that his mage character is Saemus in shapeshift form. lol
Impatiently I await the next instalment in this series of epic proportions and truth. Fiction and non-fiction intertwined with one another. What could be better?
This story needs to be made into a real RPG.
