I'm sorry but I need to be that guy, there is no N in TURRET.

On gold, phantoms are the highest priority to kill, especially if stasis isn't available. The handcannon they use has downed me way more than their melee, and because they constantly push you they need to be dealt with if you want to keep your good position.

I play as an engineer so I don't have too much of a problem destroying turrets, but they can be troublesome if they're not called out or they catch someone by surprise. As long as you are patient by not attacking them (or sticking your head out) as they're firing in your vicinity, you'll be okay.

Atlases can vary depending on if there are a lot of enemies (especially engineers) and how many are present on the map. I consider it a waste to use a rocket on an atlas if it's not a life-threatening situation; with focused fire/powers they can be destroyed pretty quickly and are easy to out-run if it's time to move to another point on the map.

Phantoms are scarier because they cloak and will seek you out. I've died more from turrets because though MY FRIEND HAS FALLEN TO A TURRET! I MUST REVIVE THEM! THIS IS SPARTAAAAA!

What should we waste our valuable missiles on?

Phantoms are easy when you know how to kill them quick. Yes. But as soon as you lose track of them, or don't watch your back only to realize there is a phantom stabbing your butt, it's scary. Far more scary than a turret or atlas combined.

Turrets are the worst for me, especially when they glitch and go invisible! Though it's kinda funny to watch your three teammates all die to it one after the other trying to rescue the first downed man. Since I've run into them before I've learned to pay attention to the sound more than the looks. So engineers are #1 on my kill list, even above phantoms.

Turrets are only scary because people don't pay attention. The first person can get mowed down by one with no real warning that it's there but everyone else can hear the thing. So why do they run out like lemmings to get their fallen comrade? It's not like it's difficult to bring one down. You can get LOS on one around a corner before it sees you.

Now on that last point I agree completely. Why are Engineers so tough to bring down anyway? I'd like my Engineer to have shields and armor that are that high.

Turrets. I have a bunch of vanguard friends so phantom's aren't really a problem, but with Turrets it always seems like the stupid Engineers like to set them up en-mass whenever we get a hack or disable mission.

Nothing worse than seeing the point you are suppose to disable being covered by a turret farm.

Atlases are easy and fun to kill as long as you aren't trapped by one..
Phantoms are simple enough if you're a Vanguard, Krogan, or Asari.
Turrets are the most difficult to kill. Even with the appropriate powers to take them on, they shoot so damn fast that it is extremely difficult to get them without at least taking damage, and if you're out in the open when it sees you forget it.

Turrets are easy to kill with anything other than shotgun
Run circles around Atlas
Phantoms are most dangerous

I have solo'd Phantoms in Melee, and a quick rocket will one shot an Atlas.  No, it is the turret hands down that kills off more of my teammates and myself than anything else in the game.  Those damned things can take a beating and have such a high fire rate that they can rip through just about anyone's shields and health.

As a Vanguard I think Phantoms are a joke, but I'm terrified of turrets. As an infiltrator I think turrets are a joke, but I don't really like Phantoms, especially if they don't come with Asari Adept.

while turrets can kill you in short order if you aren't looking, turrets don't insta-perma-kill you in melee, dodge bullets, dodge abilities, turn invisible, or pistol-snipe you. Turrets also have a larger hit-box profile. I think phantoms have more hit-points as well.

Atlas's aren't even competition, since you can hear them from across the map and they only lob the odd rocket at you when there's more than twenty feet of distance from their target.

That is kind of the point, 2 turrets can kill a player in a blink and they leave the corse as LURE!!!!

at least when someone is insta killed you know there is an evil **** around, and you bunker down in your position and have a better chance of surviving the wave (taken is 3 bunkered players in a room like the one in the Noveria Map).

Bearing in mind that I favour a human Infiltrator armed with a Sniper Rifle and SMG:

Turrets - keep in cover, wait for a break in their firing cycle, then pop them with either a sticky grenade or a rifle round. Take cover, then get them again - simple. Or even better, pop a headshot in the Engineer deploying them before he gets a chance to finish, and it'll explode in his hands. In short, judicious use of cover means turrets are a doddle.

Atlas mechs - tough, but the Mantis is fantastic against armoured foes (makes mincemeat out of YMIR mechs in ME2). Just make sure you don't get stuck at close range with them - if you're hacking a terminal, and an Atlas enters the room, GET OUT. Destroy the Atlas and then pick up where you left off - you won't stand a chance in an tight space. Unless, of course, it's on it's last shred of armour, in which case a heavy melee attack will suffice...

Phantoms - tricky. Honestly, I tend to reserve Rockets for these, rather than mechs, if only because they have a bad habit of disembowelling your entire team if left unchecked... However, they're just as allergic to headshots as any other troop type, so keep your distance, maintain a clear line-of-sight, and you're good. Also, do whatever you can to mitigate their agility - in other words, use powers that'll slow them down (i.e. cryo attacks of any kind), and don't get stuck in enclosed spaces with them - stay outdoors at all times.

If you're really lucky, you can get their barrier down just in time to land them with a sticky grenade - there's nothing more satisfying than watching a Phantom explode in a red mist!

Phantoms. They can instakill anybody, and your buddies can't revive you, or you can't use medigel. Just kill with one saber.

On bronze or silver they aren't much problem but on gold... even asari adepts can't do too much against phantom-spam. Asari adepts can't spam fast enough the stasis bubble as many of them.

Many people have.  It is my specialty.  However, 5 Phantoms are a hell of a lot more trouble than 5 turrets, or 5 Atlases

I've seen more people get knocked out by turrets than Phantoms or Atlases. Phantoms are much deadlier in my opinion, but once your team knows there's a Phantom nearby they'll usually spam it with all the ammo supplying the Krogan fleet. Also, Phantom + Stasis = Headless Phantom.

People get mowed down by turrets because most of the time they have no idea there's one right around the corner. Even though there are set spots where they can be deployed, you don't know when exactly it's there. So when you turn a corner with a turret aiming at your chin you just stop and say "Hi." then your squad mate runs to save you and also greets the turret with a "Hello!" and next thing you know you have a pile of dead polite bodies, then your screen turns red.

But the worst enemy of all?

CONNECTION LOST.

It depends on the class.

If I'm playing an Infiltrator the only thing I hate are Phantoms on Silver or Bronze. On Gold I hate everything with shielding because the game becomes nonfunctional for my desired playstyle as you can no longer one shot kill anything with shielding and I find that incredibly stupid and very unfun.

If I'm playing an Adept I hate turrets and Atlases because neither are effected by Statis for some unexplainable reason. Turrets do an OP amount of damage and Atlases have too much hp to be fun to take down.

On Vanguard I hate the sneaky Nemesis that always gets me during the split second between Nova finishing and the game registering my Charge use. Also hate Turrets for the same reason, game doesn't register Charge use immediately because of latency which means I hit charge and 1 second later I'm dead instead of charging with full shields.

Phantoms. Especially when in close proximity to a Guardian. I dont know how many times I've tried to back away from a Phantom only to be hit in the back of the head by a Guardian shield and staggered back towards her.

Definitely Phantoms.  Having your shields instantly ripped is always bad.  Dying without hope of resurrection is always bad.

An Atlas that's a legitimate problem on wave 6 or 10, or the last two assassination targets on wave 10 if things fall apart.

Turrets, most definitely, coming from a Vanguard player.

Especially when there are 3 turrets on a device disabling mission...

Turrets. Especially when your teammates depend on you, you go down. They rush to save you, not knowing there's a turret waiting to annihilate them.

And you feel like a jackass for endangering them.

If it's you, one on one, Phantom. But I find them easy. Once I pulled off a Overload, then immediately without aiming, one shot to the head kill combo with the M-6 Carnifex. Was pretty sexy.

Well, I don't quick match that much anymore, I just play with my group of friends. We're all pretty leveled up and balanced so we're not too scared:

Phantoms: Before, we used to scream PHANTOM! and run away like babies. Now, my friend can stasis, I can Overload Barriers so they're not a problem.
Turrets: Before, we would die on sight of the turret. Now we get our infiltrator to snipe it.
Atlas: If no-one has a cobra that can take it down quick and easy, tech burst!
