(oh wait, I mean every thread)

The comic was interesting, but Liara is way too OOC.

Simplifying features and using primary colours does not constatute as an interesting art style.

It's suprising ME isn't big in Japan because Bioware's new direction for the series has got Japan written all over it.
~ Women in revealing impractical outfits jumping around firing guns.
~ Lots of yuri/yaoi lovin'.
~ Two sweet innocent virgins fighting over the big strong PC.
~ Twoo wuv and idealism being the superior moral code.
~ Hanar. (although they've been there from the start)

People actualy think chibi is an interesting art style? And the entirety of the modern western and japanese animation (industry I assume) disagree with me? Well what else do they think, seeing as you speak for them all.

If you look at it today, the entirety of the modern japanese manga style can be tracked back to one source: astro boy. Which was Inspired by disney traditions, who have been the leading western animation studio from which just about every other animation company has drawn inspiration from.

It looks... interesting. Never thought they'd do a primer for the Mass Effect universe in such a way. It looks like for this manga male shep is the default.

So, this is a thread where people are complaining about something that very obviously wasn't serious/was meant as a joke(or parody)?
This forum is the best lol

I think, between this and the Bishoujo figurines, BioWare (or is it EA?) is definitely trying to carve out a niche in the Japanese market. It's definitely a noble attempt that most western game companies don't even bother playing around with. In the end, I hope it pays off. Japanese gamers love RPGs and romance sims and Mass Effect certainly has elements of both.
If they were smart, BioWare would re-release ME1 and ME2 to include a "Story Mode" like what is being offered in ME3. That would definitely make more Japanese gamers (as well as casual gamers from any region) reconsider playing through the series.
As for my personal opinion, I think this manga is great. There is a lot of humor and style in what is essentially an advertisement for ME3. These types of "manga ads" are starting to become the new trend in Japanese magazines and I certainly can't fault the mentality. Back in the 90's, I remember this becoming a trend for ads in American comic books. Between this one and a few DragonBall themed ads I've seen, I definitely approve.
To all those who see this and ALL CAPS RAGE over it, just relax. This was made for a Japanese audience and was never meant to be shown to you, so why not just let it go? Is crucifying the OP for finding something interesting to share on the forum really the best option? Why not just hit the "Back" button and move on?
