I hope there's a scene in ME3 where you are on a nice date with your LI only to watch him/her die horribly in front of you, killed by Balak, who you let walk away in "Bring Down the Sky".

Have a nice day! :-)

(More than anything, that is what I want out of ME3 - for at least a few paragon choices from the first two games to just blow up in players' faces. And I say that as a paragon player!)

Well then its a good thing I'm a Paragade player then. Obviously that scene would never happen right? Seriously though, that scene would make no sense whatsoever. It would make more sense for the love interest to get killed by a Banshee or something.

I'm Paragon with an edge. Plus I never got the logic of that encounter.

Then you dodge that particular bullet! That's the point really - if good always begets good or mostly good, then it removes all the drama and tension that comes from the law of unintended consequences.

Psh, being smart is playing safe.

It removes the drama because they are smart decissions.

Alliance recruitment numbers went down when you gave that body under study to deceases soldier's husband in ME1.

There, bitten to the butt! But hey, FREE MEALS!

It is really amazing how some people want's you to get punished only because they don't agree with the choice you made in a solo game that give you multiple choice.
Humanity is retarded.

It takes more courage to play Paragon than it does to play a Renegade.
Renegades just follow their emotions and whatever idea pops into their head at the spur of the moment. A Paragon takes all things into consideration then makes the best choice for that encounter to make the the most successful outcome for the present and also for the future.

Yep, it's about searching for compromise that fits all, not just few or certain side.

But this will  turn into flame war soon enough... So I'm outa here!!!

Oh and sometimes renegade is right way to go. You just need to consider all options.

Many big renegade choices are their own reward, usually (and appropriately) with long term pay offs. The corresponding paragon choices pay off immediatley but may be problematic in the long term (perhaps even beyond the scope of the games). Take the genophage for example. Paragons curing it would almost immediatley enjoy praise and military support from the Krogan. 50 years later when the eventual war from perpetual exponential population growth occurs, they'll probably be long dead and won't have to deal with it. Renegades who destroy the cure walk a harder path now, but can rest assured they haven't compromised the future security of humanity.

In assembling their force of allies Paragons radically and dangerously alter the balance of political and military power in the galaxy. Between the Krogan, Rachni, Geth and the weakening of the Council races there is sure to be war on the horizon. But Paragons don't care, as long as the Reapers are stopped and their morals/egos are satisfied.

This ^

Its one thing to have consquences for choices, its another to deliberately want to punish people OP, you obviously don't see the difference.
