And I agree, the femshep model makes no sense.

Cybernetics. Easy as pie. Right now there are exoskeletons that boost human lifting power considerably.
Of course if I stopped and listened to/read what I'm saying it may seem like I'm defending this(skinny body thingamajig) so I'll stop now.
So while it may have been better if Bioware's art department had decided that 1 stone of muscle would have done femshep no harm, her current look is by no means scrawny, merely skinny.

Agreed - at least the romance scenes are going to look 'romantic' this time, as opposed to all the dry-humping of ME2...
Not that I want to sound like a perv - to be quite honest, a 'fade to black' like with Liara in 'LotSB' is quite enough 'romance' for me in a game.
But fully-clothed grinding just makes me laugh, so if you're going to go for 'steamy', there's very little point in being coy. We all know what they're getting up to, no need to sugar-coat it!

No one in the game is specialized for bomb disposal and nothing else. All the armor is intended to be shot at while in combat. There's no reason for it to look like it does. But that doesn't matter. It's entertainment and it looks that way because that way looks cool. That was the only reason it was drawn like that to begin with.incinerator950 wrote...
Bomb Disposal Armor does.
If it was intended to be genuinely realistic, they would not have included a number of other backwards physics ideas that they did. I'd prefer genuine research and realistic physics in this approach as well, but that's not what they did. They did just enough research to make the concepts sound and look cool and/or hi-tech. Take it for what it is.

How so? Well ok, might be that they just look "sex appeal". I am not femShep player. And because of that I don't know if I should be even here, but I want her to look just bit less skinny. It just bothers me a bit.

Cool, with built-in dagger insertion area at the top, it's just like leather armor in DA:O!

Actually, that armor style wasn't used
in battle. They were merely for looking good; you often had one suit for
battle and the other would be for stuff like a victory march. It is
basically the armor equivilant of formal wear; something you wouldn't
wear but in special occassions. Simple soldiers would wear that, minus
the ornate symbols (like the gryphons) while a general would wear the
one in that picture.

Ah you're right, what was I thinking.

No, I just didn't see it. Now that I've seen it... well... N7 armor shoulds practically look like football pads. You can't possible be comparing that to the SWAT armor and expect the comparison to be taken seriously. The Woldan wrote...

It's true they could add fabric on top of it, might even make it look better. But it's just stylized choice.
I kinda like it personaly. But as you see, there are "normal" shoulder pads.

Variety of female soldiers.
These women are all varied. None of them look like She-Hulk or a cage fighter or a body builder. They look like normal women. Some are very skinny. Some are heavy. Some are “average”. None of them seem to fit a “standard”. Granted, none of these women are fighting huge aliens like the SB or head butting Krogans. Yet, this thread is full of people comparing femshep to real soldiers and real athletes. Unless you can find a real woman who can do stuff like that, you can't really make a fair comparison. Femshep has always been skinny and fit looking. She isn't that different from ME1 and ME2. The arms in that one shot did look weird, but in the other shots they aren't so bad. Besides, skinny doesn't always equal vamping it up. If her body was like Kim Kardashian or Beyonce, someone would complain that they were...guess what? Making her too sexy!
I say we take femshep's head and attach it to maleShep's body. Maybe then she can look like she could handle some sh!t when it got real and people would be happy.

Yes, I remember that episode.
I was quite disappointed by the reaction.
Bioware had actually dared to not use the standard mold for Aveline and I had hoped that more people would appreciate that.

Nobody asks bodybuilder (well maybe someone does), but her arms are like REALLY thin.
But considering that she carries 6 guns with her and punches giants against walls, she could use some visible muscle.
