Weight class has a lot to do with that, tbh. She's 5'8", 143-144 lbs. And not for nothing, Carano is 14-1-1 kickboxing, 7-1 MMA, so she's obviously holding her own.

This is a serious problem that has persisted for THREE GAMES NOW, the people who don't think so aren't aware of how reality works.

Foot ball cheerleader = is skinny

Which one does femshep look like?

Because I was a rifleman in the norwegian army and I had a girl in my squad that were as skinny as Femshep yet hauled  40kg worth of gear in a backpack and a MG3 with ammo up a mountain every day. We used to call it being indian strong as opposed to arnie strong.

She would have kicked your ass

Army men and women often look rather ordinary in build. I don't know why everyone here expects them to be big and tall with enormous muscles.

For F's sake, if you don't like how she looks, put her in cloth. That's what I think and it's what I will do. It's not like Shep will be going around naked all game long. Put her in the Alliance Officier outfit and the N7 Defender armor and she looks every bit as badass as she is. Seriously.

I basically agree with this. While I would prefer a meatier, more built Shepard, there is ultimately no reason why she would not be wearing full uniform / armor.

I'm not saying they should change defaultshep, only that they could give use body sliders.

I understand how that could cause issues with the 'one size fits all' armour though.

No matter your abilities cutscenes show her punching the crap out of people at times.  Even a biotic has to go hand to hand in the fight with the SB.  Not to mention even a biotic would still have to meet the physical requirements of being a special forces commando.

It is unfortunate that a game and company that claim to be more open-minded by having both genders represented in their media, and exploring more controversial topics like homosexuality, sexualize their female protagonist for the sake of fitting in and possibly higher revenues. If you want to be truly above the fold, how about giving us a female character who is not destined to ultimately be drooled over?

Shepard isn't ordinary man/woman.

She punches Shadowbroker back and all that crazy physical stuff. If she would look like normal soldier build, I wouldn't mind it that much, but look at her arms, they are like two thin sticks! :happy:
