I could take that but I could see the heels getting plenty of hate for no reason.

Ok, I will for the last time give a summary of my views on femsheps build.
Having served in the norwegian army as a rifleman in a mech infantry platoon, I had the pleasure of serving in the same squad as a female MG gunner. This is a girl that carried a 40 KG backpack, a 10 kg MG3 and 6 kg of 7.62x51 ammo up the longest and steepest f***ing mountain hill in any norwegian military base complex (1 hour constant march continous 35 degree slope) in -40 degrees celcius. She could handle the recoil when firing her mg standing up And I swear she was about as skinny as shep is depicted here. She was also COMPETENT at her job as an infantryman, something our sergeant said he'd never seen in a female soldier.
Because military service does not neccesarily help you build muscles unless you got a lot of spare fat, spec ops actually LOOSE 15 kg of muscle mass during their training regimen due to very little nutrition and overtraining. Many of the big muscly guys actually noticed that as well while i was in.
What it does do is giving you mental and physical stamina, and lots of it, allowing to push more out of what you already have. We call it being indian strong as opposed to bodybuilder strong with tendons and muscles like steel wire.
This so freaking this. Sure muscle is good and needed but you do not need to be completely muscle. In a army you mostly need stamina and simply strong enough to carry a **** load of gear. That is usually put in body fat. Shepard has that lean build but it isn't really extremely muscular. While it could be better its not something that is incredibly unrealistic.
Being a body builder is good for strength but I doubt body builders have a lot of stamina. A bunch of muscle isn't really needed in the military more than stamina.

So again, the other pic was largely angles and exertion, but there is little doubt even in this picture that she is a physical specimen. Which FemShep would absolutely have to be. But it is unfair to make beauty inversely proportional to strength. Pauline has no problems in sexywear either.

This is a serious problem that has persisted for THREE GAMES NOW, the people who don't think so aren't aware of how reality works.
Hardened soldier = Has muscles
Foot ball cheerleader = is skinny
Which one does femshep look like?

thats a bodybuilder/fitness model, you don't gain that sort of tone and build unless you train for it specifically, Army training usually involves training periods that are too long to actually build up your muscles like this. there is no focus on one muscle at a time and no rest periods. mostly its just your legs and back muscles that see minor VISUAL improvement.
that's besides the point, it doesn't matter if she looks like a soldier that can punch a Yahg or not. BioWare didn't model femshep like this because they thought this through, because they reached the conclusion that she's "indian strong". BioWare made her like this because she had to fill the "hot chick" stereotype we see everywhere in any media, where skinny = sexy.tobynator89 wrote...

The same with broshep, he has to be the "strong male" so he's mostly muscles.

Oh, they already did! LOL And so did the shirt (which would be a basic tee) but became something else for whatever reason. I should have known better.Hillbillyhat wrote...

This would please me. Evangeline Lilly had a great physique throughout Lost. A stunning body with enough muscle to get it done and kick some ass, and Kate kicked some ass.

The thing is, they made John look like an athlete and they made Jane... well you saw the picture. That's the problem, the blatant act to make her appear sexy in some fashion.

I know... You already met a woman, member of the army, who looks more skinny. I could give you a transparent person and you still are going to tell that you've met a soldier with less meat.
She doesn't have arms, at all. She's supposed to carry weapons, and she still has the arms of a 12 years old girl.
