She doesn't even need an omni-blade, she can impale people with her arms.

In some countries men and women serve both. I came from one of those countries and I can tell you, female soldiers do not look particularly muscular. Neither do men soldiers for that matter. Strong? Tough? Hell yeah. Hollywood muscular? Nope. The training is for function, not for looking good with your shirt off. I've also met a few SEALs once, and they sure as hell didn't look like Vega. That soldiers look swole like that is a Hollywood invention, guys.

Maybe, but AdmiralCheez made a point before:Hillbillyhat wrote...
Even going by your conclusion the last part is wrong. Male shep fits the hot guy stereotype because it just so happens that a muscular guy is seen as hot._symphony wrote...
that's besides the point, it doesn't matter if she looks like a soldier that can punch a Yahg or not. BioWare didn't model femshep like this because they thought this through, because they reached the conclusion that she's "indian strong". BioWare made her like this because she had to fill the "hot chick" stereotype we see everywhere in any media, where skinny = sexy.
The same with broshep, he has to be the "strong male" so he's mostly muscles.
I'm more inclined to believe that broshep is made more of male fantasies than female ones.AdmiralCheez wrote...
On "BroShep is also sexualized": False equivalence. His body is meant to show power. FemShep? Sex appeal. Both are male fantasies. FYI, I would have toned down dem muscles a bit--he looks a little ridiculous.
That's a baseless assumption on what people will say, you don't know how would she look if BioWare tried with a different approach, I would have liked to see BioWare try a different body build. And your argument may be correct, but that doesn't change that you're just rationalizing after the fact. BioWare used the Rule of Sexy, they didn't rationalize anything.tobynator89 wrote...
so why the hell is this even an argument? Surely if she was big and bulky people would be screaming ******. I was simply arguing against the people who claimed the build was unrealistic, which simply isn't true in my experience and thus I spoke up about this.

So freaking what? It's roughly the same model shes always had. As a matter of fact I believe she shares the model with EVERY other humanoid female out there.
You don't see anything wrong with trashing the main character? She's the main character, she should have a different model than every npc, like John does. She also deserves a casual outfit that isn't ridiculous.

john has the same build as every other human male except vega and jacob as well. Have you noticed that joker and shep are exactly alike for example? even though joker is sickly and weak.

John always had a similar model to everyone else. Even in ME2 the only differences we saw in the model when he was wearing that colonist looking outfit. There his arms were bigger than usual.android654 wrote...

The op has a picture of it. No one else in the game has Shepard's model in ME3. Jane got poor treatment in ME3.

I know! unlike femshep's, broshep's cybernetics aren't working, so he has to train hard for not be left behind.lastpawn wrote...
Now that I think about it, since male Shepard looks far more muscular than 99% of all solders I've met in my life (and let's not even talk about Vega), I guess there's no reason femShep couldn't be as inappropriately bulky herself.

Actually its both. Its just so happens that Mass media depict attractive men as those who appear powerful physically._symphony wrote...

Depends on the outfit he is wearing. It for some reason even in ME2 the outfit can change the look of the character model.android654 wrote...

He looks smaller with clothes on in ME3
Play the demo and see his body, and then see the pics of him naked. WTF?

The point I'm making is she's designed as "less than" when compared to her male equivalent. They're the same person, so the treatment should have been the same. If John is going to be designed to look like Ryan Reynolds, then Jane should look like the female equivalent. Same with the casual wear.
That's not unreasonable, is it?

Depends on which clothes though, but you are right. Shepard's models really fluctuate for some reason.

Meh I don't much care for it. Personally I wouldn't want my female shepard to look like that since not every soldier should anyway.
Edit: Although if you want that then you have the right to want that. Doesn't mean everyone does. Although I doubt the casual wear will always look the same. If that happens you'll get complaints about how Bioware doesn't give a crap about female shepard.

It is when you consider that storywise there is NO difference between the two outside the romance option. What maleshep can do, femshep can do. Bioware hasn't "lessened" femshep as a character in any way or form when it comes to what she can do other than the (untrue) conception that her build doesn't allow her to function as a soldier.
Rest is pure asthetics, which is highly subjective.

You may need to restate that. There are plenty of skinny people some who look like that and they don't have eating disorders.mauro2222 wrote...

Plus depending on what type of physical activity your going to be doing the idea of fit can vary.

It was an exagerated example, the main problem for me are her arms. They don't have any kind of meat in there.

Which is weird because in her normal Alliance outfit her arms look a bit thicker than what we see in the nude pic. Hell it looked better than ME2 fem shep.mauro2222 wrote...
