Wow she is hot and scary at the same time, but she can kick my butt anytime she wants

Not bad... I don't know if FemShep should be that muscular... But I like it and approve of this image.

If Femshep looked like that, I am sure we would see a huge thread about Femshep looks too manly.
Well I don't have a problem with her body.
That's because certainly there is only 1 bodytype for all human females in game I suppose.

This is the same woman everybody thought was too big and manly when she was flexing. Pauline Nordin.

So again, the other pic was largely angles and exertion, but there is little doubt even in this picture that she is a physical specimen. Which FemShep would absolutely have to be. But it is unfair to make beauty inversely proportional to strength. Pauline has no problems in sexywear either.

thats a bodybuilder/fitness model, you don't gain that sort of tone and build unless you train for it specifically, Army training usually involves training periods that are too long to actually build up your muscles like this. there is no focus on one muscle at a time and no rest periods. mostly its just your legs and back muscles that see minor VISUAL improvement.

I've got three brothers two of whom are ex-Navy and one of whom is in now. Over time, I've known a lot of guys operating out of the So. Cal area both in the Core and out of Coronado. None of them could count their military training as their first foray into athletics.

Before SEALS even begin the dive portion of their training they're already running 14 1/2 miles, swimming 5 1/2 miles, doing ingress and egress at the shoreline after carrying their own boats overhead while double timing through sand, handling insane obstacle courses, and being mashed for 4-5 days straight on a total of 5 hours sleep. Even without the Hell Week, this requires something in excess of triathlete level fitness. Add the gear, and you are not talking about people who were "average" to begin with.

This man below, who owns this gorgeous body, is a SEAL, photographed as part of a story on the teams shortly after the Afghan Team 6 mission. He did not just start looking like this when he fell out at BUDS. And that V shape and those arms are most definitely the result of isolation at some point during his life. Or else, with a back that wide, he would not taper down to external obliques that I could break my teeth biting into. And I would. And would come back with dentures and do it again. :kissing:

Do you see my FemShep on the other end of this log, or Bioware's?

Really, no one has to be a tank to be strong. I have no idea about the science about it but as a boxer who fights both heavy weights and bantam weights I can tell you that I know some bantam weights who can punch harder than the heavy weights. It's mostly due to their (on in this case his) accuracy in punching. But I'm telling you, being strong doesn't mean you have to be a body building or ripped, hell most martial artists aren't ripped or even toned but they can still take down most tanks any day.

That's mostly to do with speed and agility, accuracy of hits and overall ability to make hits count.

It takes pure strength to handle 60 pounds of equipment and also hold a 15 pound Revenent/Widow/Claymore for long periods while also firing it accurately.

And I understand, that you can't judge a book by it's cover, etc, but, all of this could have been avoided if they simply would have made femshep's model look more traditionally muscular.

Also, to add to the thread, here's another great super Gina Carano shot :)

You know, they could just make a slider option. On one end anorexic FemShep and on the other end a FemShep that looks like Vasquez from Aliens.

@Revan312 : Yes that's my thing too. Of course anyone can cause crippling damage to someone else with combat training regardless of size. But when a shotgun the manual claims can only be fired by a 500 pound alien built like a roided werewolf gets checked out of the armory on the Normandy, I don't really expect Shelly Long to be the one strolling around the corner with it.

@Recon : YES!! This is exactly what should have been done. Solves the entire problem.

Hehe, I guess it would just make too much sense for people.

Seriously thou, I don't think they can jerk around with it anymore. That ship has sailed. This topic is KINDA pointless because of that.

Plus you could create a look-alike of Vasquez and that would be badass.

Wait, if you're honestly offended by pixelated underwear...

Maybe you should find another hobby? Knitting perhaps. Or an Amish community.

So freaking what? It's roughly the same model shes always had. As a matter of fact I believe she shares the model with EVERY other humanoid female out there.

You don't see anything wrong with trashing the main character? She's the main character, she should have a different model than every npc, like John does. She also deserves a casual outfit that isn't ridiculous.

john has the same build as every other human male except vega and jacob as well.  Have you noticed that joker and shep are exactly alike for example? even though joker is sickly and weak.

Since when was Joker sickly?

Quite agree.  If you are going for the thinner-frame upper body look, as Bioware seems to be, then the lower body has to compliment it and be proportional like this well-proportioned and physically fit young woman.  As the post above this one notes, a pear shape just looks odd because it looks like she isn't strengthening all parts of her body equally.

Yeah, it makes her look really strange. But there are people who have bigger lowerbody, I'm actualy one of them. My legs are pretty well off, but my upper body is thinner. It looks silly, but I can't do much about it.
