Why should male Shepard be all buff but female Shepard a pear? It's not like the chick look manish in any way. She still has breast (great pair), lean stomach and muscles just look at her arm.

So freaking what? It's roughly the same model shes always had. As a matter of fact I believe she shares the model with EVERY other humanoid female out there.
You don't see anything wrong with trashing the main character? She's the main character, she should have a different model than every npc, like John does. She also deserves a casual outfit that isn't ridiculous.
john has the same build as every other human male except vega and jacob as well. Have you noticed that joker and shep are exactly alike for example? even though joker is sickly and weak.

Are you on drugs?
Well, if not, there is still some type of problem going on.
Look, I do not get it. while some people are obviously just trolling and joking around about a more muscular femshep looking "manly" I would like to ask those being serious to think about that we are talking about a soldier here. Since that profession requires strength and ability to kick ass, she should look the part.
And there is nothing "manly" about a athletic woman, unless you think that strength and a physique that bear witness to it is solely in the male domain.

I think that's interesting read, the shapes of the body I mean. Thanks for it. And you have a point, maybe I was bit too harsh judging the lowerbody of hers.
I still the think the arms are pretty poorly designed.

Yes, they should be more muscular. That pose is strange, but she is in movement. (her arms should "fall" closer to the body)

I remember someone using Bruce Lee as comparison. But the thing is, because he doesn't have almost any fat, his muscles show pretty much all the time.
But again I am no expert, so might just be that I am mega wrong. *shrug*

Don't worry BioWare, the straight male approves of FemShep's hips and current thickness of her arms.
And who cares about that if those who will actually play the character disapprove? It's just pathetic - she's a soldier and looks like she never carried anything heavier than a purse.

The arm thing, i'm of two minds about. On one hand, i wouldn't say they're too thin as far as body proportions go -- shape/geometry-wise they're actually probably better in that regard than it's normal for computer game models and far from 'twigs'. On the other hand though, i can see why people would want the shape to be made thicker, given Shepard's background et all. And the normal map they've used for her doesn't help.Arppis wrote...

edit: the problem imo isn't as much female Shepard model, but the overly muscular male models -- when she's routinely placed next to multiple such characters, she is bound to appear too frail, relatively.

She's a woman. Military or not, that's what fit women look like. The military doesn't make you muscular or bulky, it makes you fit. This has been pointed out a thousand times, yet it's obvious no one is paying attention.
