Sure, if you're into anorexia and unauthenticity. Nevertheless, I though that at least femShep should appeal to female players, not just be another teen male fantasy object like Miranda and now Ashley.

Of course. Just company fails because it  shows yet again they don't care about realistic presentation of female characters, ergo, won't get more potential customers, only the same male teens who would buy it anyway.

The "many examples" aren't good examples because they are taken from women doing sport. If you want to compare anything, find pictures of real women in the military, and compare them to FemShep. Then, and first then, can we talk.

Please. I even have friends in military. None of them looks so weak and anorexic. Besides, Shepard is not just ANY soldier.  And BTW, you didn't keep attention to ME codex. Alliance soldiers get gene therapy that IIRC improves their muscle mass among the others. Judging from an ingame example of universally overgrown men (even Joker!) and all those women, they give that only to the former.

As someone who works out myself, having muscles wouldn't be the most important thing for FemShep. Since primarily she just uses guns, she would only need basic muscles, and would instead need to focus on endurance for sprinting reasons. That, however, doesn't require you to be very muscular at all. In fact, muscles can actually be a detriment, since they will weigh your body down. Building endurance and building strength are two ENTIRELY different processes.

The arm thing, i'm of two minds about. On one hand, i wouldn't say they're too thin as far as body proportions go -- shape/geometry-wise they're actually probably better in that regard than it's normal for computer game models and far from 'twigs'. You might be right and the suits have exoskeletons too. But then thing is that this game actualy has weight-capacity with level ups and stuff like that. *shrug*

It's not the end of the world, but it's interesting to talk about this.

i'm sorry, but no sane person would say that's "exactly what a fit woman looks like". Mind you, it's not the arms people are fixating on that's the problem here, but... just ugh, pretty much everything else.
