Thanks, I was wondering. I've heard thats a good movie, but never paid attention to it because I don't normally like anime. Maybe i'll check it out sometime.
Where the hell do you get a sharpened tooth brush? And who the hell goes through the trouble of sharpening a toothbrush?

Well the hardened plastic if you can make a type of crude point will properly penetrate an Eye or Neck vein
It's basica survival training like make sharpening a stick... it's the only thing you got

I know, I was more wondering like "Who the hell thinks of using a toothbrush? And why would they take the time to sharpen it?" I didn't read the book and don't plan on doing it so I don't know if he planned it or it was on the spot.

That can easily be explained (i.e. no available resources/trying to bypass weapons detectors) but people tend to ignore the context, although I wouldn't be surprised if it were something really illogical.deadshame wrote...

Like the taking out 3 turians by himself part. People say it's stupid and makes no sense... the some ones who have no understanding of the context of the situation or haven't even read the book. To those wondering about this, five turian soldiers were assaulting a Cerberus base and TIM was on this particular one. They'd cornered him and
two guards who were being pinned down. Two were killed by the guards, who were then killed. TIM was alone, being supressed by fire and Kai Leng attacks the turians from behind with a knife during the chaos. Seeing this opportunity, TIM killed one of them while KA, much faster and more mobile due to not wearing bulky armor, managed to catch them off guard. That makes sense when you read it as it happens rather than from someone who is ignorant of the book.
On a side note, the krogan killing was never explained in Retribution (another Deception **** up) and thusly we can assume he did so Zaeed style.

I still believe that this is rubbish, for years a lot of people tried to protect the autistic girl and she dies in the most stupid way.
It's like training for a year for a marathon, and suddenly the morning of the race you get sick with the 6 enchiladas and the 3 chimichangas you got for dinner the previous night and stay all day on the restroom.

No, it made NO sense. Dont even try to justify it. Just like when Kahlee Sanders somehow beat up a guy with a gun, while in handcuffs. Those novels were terrible.OniTYME wrote...

I haven't read them either, but from what I gathered from the forums KL snuck into Admiral Anderson's home, went to the kitchen, and literally started eating his cereal.Olueq wrote...
I knew the novel was going to be bad from the start. The other novels were bad and this was being written by William Dietz. However, what exactly happened in the novel in regards to the cereal? Rofl. I dont plan on ever reading it.

The TV series (SAC and 2nd GiG) is actually better than the movie. It starts out a bit slow, but if you stick with it, boy does it ever reward you.

Yeah..
Don't read it.
edit: To make this post on topic...
Kai Leng is a foil of Shepard, this is true. However his writing reeks of trying WAY too hard. I'm not a fan of his art direction to be honest. For as much as he eats, you would think he looked like Eddie Lang, not a superathlete.
Seriously. All the salarian curry (I thought he was a xenophobe in every way?), asari stir fry and cereal he eats in the book...

BTW, Gillian Grayson died?!Didn't TIM himself say that she was the best hope for humanity? So basically all these books and she gets taken out by a toothbrush?
We kept tlling you Deception is an abomination... but nooo!
Gillian was aged up and de-autismed in a cheap trick to play her up as a sexy/ but feisty teenager
Why does Kai need a cane if you have leg cybernetics? -and you have him ninja kicking anyway-

I've finally come up with a ME phrase that describes Deception perfectly and it ties into the book itself
Deception ****'s Aria
that's all you need to know
It reduces one of the most indenpent females into a weak willed coward that has to have her minions protect her
