Well I was finishing up my ME2 playthrough to import for when ME3 comes out to find out the game decided it would be alright to kill of Morriden even though I did all the loyalty missions for everyone and had every ship upgrade. That is very annoying that the game glitched in its own script for the game I was going to use to upload for ME3. Now I have to start all over. What the hell momments like these suck!

What did he die doing? If you use him for ANY of the suicide mission tasks other than escorting your crew than he'll die.

This isn't quite true.  It's possible for him to survive the hold the line or going to see the reaper.  That depends on who you leave to hold the line.

That said where did he die? What were you using him for?

If you want to try and figure it out, try this thread http://social.biowar...5/index/5855452

I know people say there isn't, but I have had him die holding the line when he shouldn't. That is just the way it is, most times he will live if you follow the guide then he will just up and die, even if you do it right. That is why I always have him escort the survivors back.

You should be able to replay either the last leg of the SM or just the SM to fix, if you have the saves you should.

I didn't choose him for anything at all.

Well at least now I know why he died. He's a nubcake .... I don't feel like starting it over from an autosave ... Oh well :/

If you do the suicide Mission again, send him home escorting the found crew OR take him with you to fight the boss those are the only two options to ensure his survival. If you assign him as Fireleader or techie, he'll die. If he holds the line, he may die.

I'll post my configuration I used 4 times and everyone survived:

Before anything else, ensure everyone is loyal. Every non-loyal crewmember with you has an immensely enheightened risk of dying.

During the first section choose Garrus as Fire leader - he knows what he is doing.
Choose Legion as techie. If you don't let the heat overcome him by being too slow, he'll survive.

For the second section again use Garrus for Fire leader - he did good once, he'll do good a second time. The biotic of my choice is Samara. She did a fine job.

Now send Mordin to the Normandy to escort your crew and take two who seem physically weak to accompany you to the bossfight. I chose Tali and Kasumi (If you don't have her DLC you don't have to worry about her - just choose the next person you think physically not too strainable). It is important, that you don't take rough warrior kinds with you like Grunt, Garrus, Zaeed and maybe Thane. They are needed to "hold the line" and cover the other ones.

With this selection I've saved my crew completely every time I used it.

The most common cause of Mordin dying while holding the line is because people end up taking two of the three hold the line specialists to the final battle which are Garrus Grunt and Zaeed.

Also to further boost survival rates take either mordin tali kasumi to the final battle because they are the first to get killed while holding the line.

If you dont belive me check out this helpful guide for the collector base

Garrus is the fire team leader both times. Legion goes through the tubes. Samara makes the biotic bubble. Thane escorts the survivors to the normandy.

I take Miranda with me for the unique dialogue with TIM when you fight the baby reaper. I think I also took Legion so the people holding the line had enough fire power.

The first 2 times I played Mordin died but since then I have perfected the suicide mission

Legion- goes into the tubes.
Miranda- Fire team leader.
Jack- Biotic bouble.
Garrus-diversion team(only one that can do it).
Tali- escort the crew back to ship(she is ALWAYS the first one to die, so do not have her hold the line).
Garrus/Miranda- for final reaper fight.

Doing it this way I never have anyone die.
