That Shepard is going to die at the end of ME3 no matter what? ive been staying pretty spoiler free so i have no real reason to think this but i just get the feeling that Shepard is going down regardless of how prepared the galaxy is because of how insistent bioware is that ME3 will have a "definitive ending". Anyone else feel this way?

Yep he dies and planet earth is saved.
Wouldn't surprise me, after all this is the last of his series, they'll pretty much start a new curve from the many possibilities available.

It would be awfully cliche, let's hope that it's something incredible. But yep I'm going to keep my expectations low until we start playing lol

No, it will definitely be a choice of living or dying.
I think the endings will be (depending on what choices you make)

- You survive and save the galaxy.
- You survive but the reapers overrun the galaxy
- You die but save the galaxy
