Awh, he's just lonely. Next time I play, I'm going to introduce Mr. AVAST to my bestest friend Ms. Omniblade, so she can give him a nice big kiss.

Just keep the one and only Phalanx ready, and your barriers will never be down. Just sayin'.
Once I was sad, crying and watching my team members die. Now I just charge.

On the one hand, yeah... that was pretty funny.
On the other hand, I hate you. The sound of the happy turret firing 1200 happy rounds a happy minute has become forever associated with the sound of grinding molars and the urge to punch my monitor. I wish you fleas. Whoever created those turrets deserves a persistent bedbug infestation.
Frolicking happy turrets. I got your turret, right here buddy.

The US military releases an official maintenance publication (really) with cartoons of talking weapons and vehicles. They look a lot like that, except this one is in color.

the thing about turrets is that they're too ****ing quiet. They should beep or something, also, while im on play balance issues, the phantoms shouldn't be able to drop my krogan soldier's shields from any range in two shots with their hand cannon. Thats ridiculous.

they're like nuclear radiation, effectively preventing me from entering key areas, especialy frustrating when you want to reive a teammate orduring one of those data gathering missions, you often end up dead(at least i do)

I have no trouble with turrets. I'm not a vanguard though, but an Asari Adept with a Mantis X. 2 shots is all I need to take out a turret.

"Hello Friends!" What a sweetie. I feel bad. *Sniff* She's a nice turret. *Sniff* Is there any way of being its friend without blowing it up?

Yes, that's called the Sabotage power. With it, you can make that sweet turret able to send its old Cerberus friends to the happy place, freeing it from the Cerberus friend/foe AI that has limited its friendship options up to this point.
Hi Cerberus Friend! Hi Cerberus Friend! You even get to help it assist them to the happy place with your own warm hugs and hellos. And really, how much friendler could you get than that? Group hug!

Most frustrating experience with turrets in my MP demo play so far was on the landing platform when a data upload mission spawned at the fighter sitting there. No less than 3 engineers dropped turrets around the landing pad with interlocking cross-fires covering all paths into the landing pad. Backed up by troops. Worst death trap I've seen. Half the team ran right into it. The other two of us tried to dance around the edges and take down enough that we could reach the terminal, but there was just too much fire coming in from all directions for us to advance. Unsurprisingly, that mission scrubbed.

Open Letter to Bioware Blog,
Dear Mr. Partrick Weeks, Jessica Merizan, Sara,
Recently, the fiber optic cable connect my little 187 person town to the outside world was fixed after 3-4 weeks. As a dedicated fan of Bioware, I have been catching up on the what I have missed as well as waiting on Mass Effect 3. Some parts, like the new forums and the new policy, give me that deer in headlights feeling since I feel like I missed something happening before M3 came out.
Honestly, change can be scary, because its simply unknown and has a very very dead serious tone. In the month I been way it seem alot has happened that I don't know about beyond just Mass Effect 3 comming out.
All things considered about the Bioware Corporation, your latest article "On Turret" was a refreshing humorous change of pace to slightly scary. It reminded me of my own college days when my friends would make gaming jokes and unintentional cultural references similar to how you compare ME3 turrets to Portal 2, MLP (specifially Lauren Faust), Star Wars, Gears of War, Pirates. The slightly unintentional references to One Piece's alliteration of Astro Boy where humorous as well. (and I am not talking about the Arrr...)
I looked foward to many more articles in the future.
Sincerly,
hid
