I thought the grenades were meant to get rid of the spores....

No, it was mainly just a very weak nerve gas that causes paralysis in those infected my the Thorian.

Predicting how plantlife works on other planets by comparing how plantlife works on earth is like saying a turian would like a ham sandwich because people do.

This. It's a nice, well written post OP, but we're dealing with something that isn't playing by Earth's taxonomies.

Yes, they were the other way of  'paralysing' civilians instead of punching them which I regret enjoying...  Image IPB

I hope Mordin or his replacement will be involved in this if it turns out the Thorian is reproducing.

I hope there is a DLC for ME3 when you return to Zhu's hope and everyone there has been eaten by thorians and you have to kill them all again. It was a pretty fun mission in ME1.

I read this and thought, so that's where the Xenomorphs in "Aliens" began!
Thus is Ripley a descendant from Shepard? Hmmm.... XD

Chest cavity bursting aliens FTW!

OP is a natural skill. Most trolls cannot ever hope to become as good as this guy.

You seem to be implying that I wrote this thread to make people mad, but quite the opposite it true.  If I wanted to troll, I'd tell everyone to spare the colonists and than laugh at them when their favorite characters fall victim to the Thorian.  I wrote this thread so that you can all start new playthroughs in which this will not come to pass and be happy.

Overall
your theory makes sense.

I know, it's in my textbook too.

Cool then I must have used the same book as you.  I understand this because I had a great professor and overall that class was easy for me

Well to clearly understand it you have to read it. Read it over again if it doesn't make sense. Overall the only wishful thinking is wanting to go back to Zhu's Hope. Shialla showing up at Illium clearly is a place holder IMO

Well it's a good thing that I killed them all. Well, all that I could, as I could only kill the twenty hostile ones.

Wow...how powerful would *that* plot development be, especially if it fell upon you to pull the trigger? Thanks for taking the time to write that up! Amazing implications!
