Reading todays sticky about the servers going offline for maintenance makes me wonder what Bioware has done to prepare for the release.

Granted that Mass Effect 3 players will probably not go online en-masse on day 1 due to spread out release dates and many people starting with the single player campaign, I'm sure the load will be significant.

How is Bioware predicting the expected load? And are they ready, or will we see Battlefield 3-esque issues?

And are there any stats on how many users played/are playing the demo?

As much faith as I like to have?

We gonna see BF3-esque issues.

I might just play through SP first of all... Then come back to MP once they patch the goddamn bucketload of bugs (AND YOU CAN FIT ALOT OF BUGS INTO A BUCKET!) and once all dedicated servers have been established...

Honestly I don't think BioWare had faith in the MP and never bothered to spend much time in the design... that's why connections sucks and there's 937,654 bugs...

Don't think its going to be a problem. It's just data from accounts and unlock system, most of the data transfer is done player-to-player once you're in the lobby. As opposed to BF3 where we have dedicated servers running all the information, uploading and download it up to 64 players.

What I am concerned about, is the lack of anti cheat measures. I expect cheaters to be appearing here and there. And again, not a major issue since the idea is to play with friends.
