I just did it, no need to try. The way to 1 shot a phantom on Gold is - Widow X, full power evolutions for energy drain, Warp Ammo, Cloak specced for sniper damage, Sniper AMP II, Salarian passive with +10% weapon damage. Energy drain doesn't take out the last bar of phantom barrier, but for some reason Warp Ammo goes right through it. Killed about 20 phantoms in rapid succession just a few mins ago because we had no Asari and I had to deal with them somehow. This build proved more than effective.

REALLY?!    Bypassing the last bits of barrier?    Wow warp ammo is more than meets the eye.

Well, its on PC. You can basically mod EVERYTHING without people actually noticing it. Push the damage or the health of your character(s abilities) just a bit and it can make a huge difference.

It's definitely possible if you're a good infiltrator. I'm a really crappy infiltrator and even then I got to wave 8 soloing Silver. Could've finished if I didn't keep missing so many easy headshots.

A skilled infiltrator could definitely do this, it just takes lots of skill and lots of patience.

I have no doubt it can be done, being a pretty good Infiltrator myself I'm tempted to try it, it's just I've already heard people modding the demo on PC so I just want to make sure this is legit just in case Bioware is watching and nerfs the Infiltrator because of it. Which I hope they don't.

Video is rendering right now and I'll update the post with it later. Got a hacking objective at the extraction zone at Wave 10... and survived! Still shaking cause I used my last medigel at wave 7 and went through with no medigel for the hardest part of it.

Wow, congratulations.

I've only been playing solo with my female infiltrator (never played a team game) since the multiplayer came out.  I can do bronze easily now and I've done silver once but I still get my arse absolutely kicked in Gold.  Wow man,  just wow. 

I can't believe you survived the landing pad hack too, that is my most dreaded objective on that map.  really looking forward to the video and learning from it.  Thanks for putting it up.

Infiltrators have it easiest (right after asari adept). It's a lot harder with the other classes. But it's still impressive.

I definitely agree, I don't have the asari adept yet but I'd put infiltrators way ahead of everything I've got so far, it's not even close - at least for me.

It's the invisibility that makes all the difference especially with objectives.  You can hack a terminal with a room full of goons by cloaking and running in and out if it comes to that.

On the contrary, that's the probably the easiest class to do this with, "easiest" being a very relative term of course.

And that Widow X... me want! I can tell you it's not easy to do this especially with the Widow hampering the recharge cooldowns. But anyway, congrats on achieving this feat! ^^

The Widow X doesn't hamper the recharge to a significant degree, because it's the version that has the least - recharge.

Really? I didn't know that because I only have Widow I. So that means, the higher the weapon grade is, the better the recharge and damage capabilities. Need to make a note of this for the full game.
