I doubt its intended that Warp Ammo should ignore barrier/shields. I believe you if you've tested it, but I also believe they'll apply a patch to it. At least on PC. Playstation versions never get updated.
I wonder which other classes can successfully solo it. The basic problem is that any other class than Infiltrator will have trouble doing the "disable/enable four objectives within 5 min". It might be doable with an engineer, since you have something that can distract the enemies. Asari might be able to do it with clever placement of stasis field. So for any class other than infiltrator, you need to rely on your luck of not getting one of those objectives.

I'd like to see it catch on. I dunno jack about running a group, I'm afraid, but hopefully we can get some discussions going and get some multiplayer specialist groups together.

When you do an objective (disabling device/hack), do enemies keep re-spawning until you finish the task or is there a specific number of enemies per wave? Wouldn't it be better if the team hangs back and kill enemies first before disabling something especially if it'll place the team at a very vulnerable location (like the landing pad in FB White)?

Completing tasks(such as indoctirnation devices) does not blow your tactical cloak.

I'm not really editing the video, I'm leaving it vanilla the way I recorded it, but it still takes a ton of time to render it. Raw file is like 64 Gigabytes...
To answer your questions:
1. Got the widow through veteran packs. I was stuck with Widow II for a very long time, then I got all the way to Widow VII in a single day. Then it took around 180 veteran packs to unlock the next 3 levels... Took a LONG time.
2. My build is unchanged from when I leveled my infiltrator a while ago - it wasn't made for Gold solo, I just picked what made the most sense to me at the time.
Tactical cloak max: lvl 4 40% damage increase, lvl 5 cooldown decrease, lvl 6 sniper rifle damage increase.
Energy drain max: lvl 4 damage increase, lvl 5 cooldown decrease, lvl 6 damage increase (not synthetic)
Salarian operative passive max: lvl 4 weapon damage, lvl 5 headshot damage, lvl 6 sniper rifle weight -30%
Fitness max: lvl 4 shields & health, lvl 5 shield recharge rate, lvl 6 shields & health.
I had to use Power AMP II for Energy drain to work effectively on Gold.
