Hope it comes out on other systems besides just PC, however - my computer is not optimal for gaming, and I've abandoned Windows. Limits my options a bit.

Tweet from Trent: "Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition will include the Tales of the Sword Coast Expansion."
So if this turns out good and people like it hopefully they will do it with BGII too.

If this is anything like the facelift Beamdog gave MDK2, it will probably look even more polished than BG2 with the widescreen mod. Can't wait.

Maybe if this project is succesful enough, BG3: the Black Hound can finally be completed.

Just saw the tweets.. I think I'll join you in that heart attack.
How I have dreamt of this day, never quite daring to believe that it would actually come.

BTW Mass Effect 3 forums are burning
LOL. What are you talking about? The ME3 forums have been burning for several days now.
Also, anything is the real deal compared to ME3.
So, does anyone know if the game is coming out on consoles as well as PC? I'd be very interested to learn this information.

I guess I'll be there buying a copy, probably on pre-order!
But knowing the publisher it'll be released 1/4 finished, with more bugs than a maggot farm

Sad when the best the industry can do is port a nearly 15year old classic, rather than crafting a new one!
But it does show an interest in the industry, this could be steps into making a new one.

This made me so happy. I dusted off (after 10 years) BG2:SOA and TOB a month ago +Edwin Romance Mod= Epic Win xDDD. Tho I never could bring myself to play BG1 till the end. Somehow I would always give up after mine tunnels full of goblins.
I almost gave up when fighting against Sarevok. I must have died and reloaded 25 times before I killed him. Was the most satisfying feeling in the world when I finally did it, but I don't know if I could manage to finish BG again now like that. I couldn't even get myself to finish ToB a while back. Can't remember if that was any easier or harder than Sarevok...

Well thank goodness for all this kickstarter business. It's the only way to revive the genre.

After triyng 20+ times and failing i just headed back to an old save and gain 1 more level, more goodies, powerfull scrolls and wands. And better party members.
Tried another 10+ times...His vision killing Gorion still haunts me...
And at Throne of Bhall when he wanted to join my party, i kicked Minsc&Boo without hesistation, never looked back
BTW Edwin romance mod? Edwin or Edwina? Or both
Edit: LAst breath of Tazok, absabce of Kivan is saddening tough;

Heh, so did I but I was so disappointed that he wasn't practically a god of destruction when I finally put him into battle. I worked so hard to take him down in the first game, and in the second game's expansion he's nothing special. Lame! So I went back to Minsc because I missed his sword meet evil comments.
