Can you remember if you got it in a Veteran box or the Rookie box?

It's a gold unlock, so you will only get it from vet packs

I unlocked my Asari Adept via the Veteran Pack. I continue to unlock additional appearance and xp bonus options for that race/class when i purchase Veteran Packs oddly..

When ive leveled up the character to 20 and all the appearance unlocks are unlocked... Hope they fix this upon game release..

Ah damn, guess I got to continue, I'm level 91 now and still no Asari. I want a character unlock box. A Spectre box.

That would be way too easy, unless it costs like 300,000 credits or more.

Actually, now I think of it, that's less than ten complete silver matches. Better make it more, like 600,000 credits at least. Idea still smells bad, imo.

Don't like it, don't use it. But not everyone of us have endless of time to play and let chance decide what characters you can have fun with. What matters it to other people what characters people get? If you don't like the box, don't use it :) Do it the hard way.

Why does it affect me? Because I don't want to end up in a gold match with my engineer, and then three salarian infiltrators/turian sentinels/etc

I mean, that's how the game is going to eventually end up, there's no sense hastening its demise by giving everything away

Oh so you don't want that but the system is broke and a complete joke . Call of Duty created the online MP unlock system that is the best and only way to have one based on soley your level . you level up and unlock things based on your current level . we should have the ones we want to play with at the start or in a easy unlock format .

I only go for the vetern box. I got the asari adept, drell vanguard, and salarian infiltrator. I never got a krogan nor a turian. For some reason my random unlocks loves to unlock human male adept even when its level 20 and got all the camo and lights....grr I never even used that class. what gives

Clearly you're supposed to be playing a male human adept! :P

Half of the demo classes are solid choices even on Gold.  Asari Adept, Salarian Infiltrator and Human Vanguard are all top-notch, and Human Engineer, Turian Sentinel and Human Infiltrator are all very playable.  I don't think that keeping players distributed across classes is likely to be a problem.

I like the unlock system, I assume I'd like it even more once the full game is launched, when I have more than 2 boxes to choose from. I just unlocked the revenant assault rifle earlier today and I am ranked 105, and I am not upset about having to wait to use something I wanted to use. I enjoy it. Keeps me playing. I STILL haven't got an Asari adept neither, only demo character I am missing, and I am not upset about it, patience is a virtue people. :P

I have every uncommon and rare available in the demo except for the Drellguard and every single one was from veteran packs.

Recruit packs have never given me anything of worth.

I actually got my Asari Adapt from the Bonus pack you get for free at the start.
Same for my friend.

Asari Vanguard, Turian Soldier, and Krogan Sentinel should be good in the full game, too. Quarian Infiltrator and Salarian Engineer might be as well, if their powers turn out to be useful.
