 I assume anyone who has played Mass Effect 2 knows of Admiral Xen from the Quarian Flotilla. In ME2 she proves herself to be most undeniably a person who has serious problems. I mean not only did she take apart her toys as a child but she actually wants to regain control of the geth.

So I ask if anyone else thinks that she is an absolute phychopath who seriously needs to see a doctor or a rifle aimed at her?

Please refrain from spoiling other parts of the game for people who may not have completed ME2 but still use the forums.

Pyschopath? She's the only member of the admiralty board that isn't an idiot, geth apologist, or warmongering moron. Controlling the geth is a perfectly reasonable goal.

I can't stress this enough.

What Xen wants is very practical and would be very good for the quarian people if she could pull it off. There is no reason to believe that she couldn't accomplish this considering we have multiple examples of the geth being controlled. We know it can be done.

Now depending on where you stand Xen may be dangerous, but not because she's crazy, only because she's ambitious.

Ok I am will to admit she is...ambitious if nothing else. But i do believe that she technically operated on toys when she was a child, and heres a few problems with that:

1. She's not qualified to perform surgery.
2. I'm pretty sure she didn't ask the toys if they wanted to be operated on (though frankly that would be an even worse thing)
3. Tali Zorah Vas Neema/Normandy is somwhat of an expert on the geth, having come into contact with them the most, and she considers the Admirals plans to be crazy.

And if were going to start talking about controlling geth lets see what happened:

1. Geth work for Quarians, they rebel and drive their masters off the planet.
2. Group of Geth work for Soveriegn, almost destroy all life in galaxy.
3. Project Overlord, almost causes technical apocolypse.

Just sayin'...

A child destroying some of their toys doesn't make that person a psychopath. In Xen's case it was likely an outlet for her intelligence and creativity. Stephen Hawking destroyed a lot of his toys and other household objects as a kid as well. He was curious about how things worked.

Same with Xen.

Tali is by no means an expert on geth anymore than Shepard is, and she's a petty, selfish, moron to boot.


Also, hint:

The geth nearly destroying the galaxy in ME1 under the 'control' of Sovereign is evidence in my favor not yours, genius.

Overlord as well proved the geth can be controlled.

I wouldn't be suprised if the geth say "Ok, ok you can have the planet back, but we want to experiment on her as revenge for what she did to our race"

Well so far nobody has been able to describe what the "madness" part is as it refers to Xen. Sounds like ridiculous saying anyway.

Einstein and Hawking aren't/weren't crazy, and Xen has given no indications she is crazy either.

And I never said Einstein and Hawking are/were crazy. Just her.
Besides if anything I don't think that they would approve of re-enslaving a race.
But you'll probably find a way this argument is wrong too won't you?

But controlling the geth is smarter than going to war with them. And will achieve the Quarians long time goals...
