the last 5 vet packs ive gotten on xbox live didnt even give an uncommon, is this a change in the game or am i extremely unlucky?

I keep getting blues from veteran packs as well. So you are not the only one. My rank is close to 100, but I only play 2 characters. I got the rest of xp through these useless character cards.

bioware is unfair on some. 

 I got my first purple at lev 4.

I've gotten a few vet packs recently that also had all blue cards, but I think it's because there are certain blue cards that are still considered "Uncommon", even though they are not silver or gold.

How many of your weapons are mark X, and how many weapon mods are mark V?

I clocked in about 10hrs of play time (estimate) and I have still yet to unlock a character OR a purple weapon. All I got were upgrades to pistols, which I never use, and the Human Male Engineer card.

I feel like the game is trollling me.

From my experience (playing waaaay too much), once you've unlocked everything (level X for the standard weapons) except the Golds, you simply get Blue cards unless you get Golds (on the forum someone mentioned that was 10 or 15% of the time?). A little frustrating, but probably less so in the main game when you can promote your maxed characters...
