I posted this on this thread social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/343/index/9470740/6. But noone paid attention to it because I smell or something, or I look funny, or they're allergic to potassium (see name). So, with my dream to let everyone know that I do in fact, exist, still very much alive, I'm gonna post my dopeass suggestions for Soldiers on a new thread. These dopeass suggestions are mainly for making Soldiers more useful in Silvers and Golds since Soldiers don't really specialize in anything besides being able to throw a compact linebacker every 6 seconds. I am aware that other people are crying about other classes like Drellguards, but I'm using this thread to cry about Soldiers. Oh the passion! I love you all.

Like I said before, the most effective Soldiers will be those people are
just hella talented in general gunplay. The closes thing I can think of
are Gears of War pub stompers (since the AI in ME3 aren't any better
than the noobs in pubs; just more health). Soldiers don't specialize in
anything, largely due to the fact that all classes can use every weapon
now, AND the fact that AR is a step up from horsesh*t; therefore, those
players who can pop craniums like nobody's business (even with Assault
Rifles) will be those "useful/effective" Soldiers. We get 90% of our
prowess from guns (and Concussive Shot spamming), so not having the
highest level guns and mods, we're highly gimped going into Gold mode.

Just my dos pennies...

But onto my suggestions (there might be a lot of reiterations):

-Give
us a better incentive to use AR. It's not really a team-based ability.
When I use it in Bronze and Silver, it's more for greedily snagging 2-4
kills in rapid succession. You could say you could save a squad mate
from getting butt-raped but I'd rather use Concussive Shot for such a
situation. You could give it a more significant weapon damage boost, be
able to use CS while it's on, whatever. But the best suggestions I have
is why not boost the fire and reload speed while it's on? Although I
don't know how that would work with guns like the Vindicator, the
Mattock, Argus, and the other smi-auto, you figure something out, lol.
It's very similar to Overkill from ME1, where you had unlimited ammo for
like 5 seconds.

-Instead of 2 max of each equipment, why not
make it 3 for Soldiers? They ARE Soldiers, right? They're trained to be
at-home on the battlefield, they're trained to carry a crapload of
weight in their backs for hours on end. So the extra Cobra Missile,
Medi-Gel, Ops Survival, and Ammo pack would make them better team
players. The Medi-Gel and Ops would be perfect for hairy situations.

-More health and shields? I don't know, **** everyone's complaining about it so hell.

-And something about Frag Grenades... I'm not specced for it so I wouldn't know about the problems, people are having.

Agree with everything. Imo, the problem with frag grenades is that they aren't that powerful/effective considering they're a limited ability.

Ah I see. How do they compare against say, Cluster Grenades?

Turian Marksman buffs rate of fire and accuracy, so having Adrenaline rush buff rate of fire starts to muddle the race line.

AR needs a buff in general and all the primary weapons should get a weight increase to stop just anyone grabbing them. Then give the soldier even more weight capacity and he will be the only class for which taking two primaries is the standard.

In terms of actual abilities, the adrenaline rush could do with doing a little more extra damage, as it is the soldiers only real damage dealing ability. About 70% maxed out rather than 50% would be nice.

Concussive shot... I don't know if it can knock guardians shields back without being maxed (only level 4 in it) but it should be able to do this as standard, it also needs a buff against barriers to give the soldier some utility.

Grenades should either be a regular cooldown ability or they should get restocked much faster (at least let me refill completely between rounds). They aren't much more powerful than other abilities so I don't see why they should be limited so much. Alternatively they could be turned into absolutely amazing weapons with their current limited ammo still present, being able to knock the barriers of a phantom and send her flying away.
