What if there was an in-game option to send Loghain to be turned into a golem (assuming you did not destroy the Anvil of the Void)?

-He doesn't get the honor or privilege of joining the Grey Wardens, so Alistair is presumably happier with this option. (I didn't have Alistair with me for the Anvil part of the game, so he might not be thrilled about this whole golem business in general.) It depends a lot on whether Loghain's death or his joining the Wardens is the more important issue. But since being turned into a golem (with a control rod) is clearly more of a punishment then an honor, this might be more amenable to him.
-Loghain has an eternity of fighting darkspawn ahead of him to redeem for his crimes all game, instead of a sole redemptive sacrifice against the Archdemon. Presumably, if he can retain some of his intellect like Caridin/Shale he will still be useful as a strategist.
-Anora is probably not happy, but Ferelden's Iron Lady accepts Loghain's death with icey resolve so she could totally handle this

Potential problems: I can't imagine putting Loghain and Branka together can possibly end well.
