Seriously people, I've entered silver matches and I'm right next to an engineer, then I see him cast Incinerate on a centurion with shields on. Then, when waves get higher he does the same thing but with phantoms. I've also gotten in games where biotics use Warp on Atlas with full shields on, or even Throw, same thing goes with an Atlas and Incinerate at full shields.
Know your skills and how they affect each type of armor/shield/barrier.
Thanks :)

Warp + Throw can trigger a Biotic Explosion, very effective against Atlas's. I agree with the rest though.

I know about the combo, but it wasn't to trigger a biotic explosion. He used Warp non stop on one, I guess he saw it didn't work and used Throw on the other one.

TO, take this advice to heart. A full debuff warp detonated by a full force throw will chew through any Atlas (and do AoE damage to anything nearby AND most likely stagger it. An Adept doing those bombs can pretty much solo at least two Atlas.

Agree on the rest, though I don't recall having met someone like that yet.

Yeah, warp + throw explosion against an atlas is in most cases more powerful than shooting it. Especially if all I'm packing is a phalanx.

Also if you cast incinerate on something with shields, they will stagger and burn when the shields are stripped, granted it isn't ideal. It will also cause them to roll out of cover, or knock them back a few steps if they're around cover.

incinerate is pretty useless against phantoms though, unless you just want to keep them cartwheeling.

Then I agree with everything. People really should stop to see if their powers are doing anything at all before spamming them.

He was packing a phalanx, but like I mentioned earlier. He didn't try to trigger a Biotic Explosion, spammed Warp on one Atlas until it was brought down by a missile. Then spammed Throw on the other one.

You can warp an Atlas then hit it with a Throw? I thought the Atlas just shrugs off the warp. Please explain. I don't want to be a noob forever.

The atlas wont go all sparklyglowyshiny purple like regular troops hit with warp but it is affected all the same. Warp+throw will decimate turrets as well.

Just want to add the same goes for human adepts. Warp+shockwave will do wonders, the downside is that it's limited to close range :(
