If the Council want him, then they can bring him in.  Spending his time trying to convince the Council would be a marginally less stupid waste of time than trying to convince this defence committee.

Fundamentally, Shepard knows he's going to vindicated and soon.

As for the crew, most of them were only short term members anyway, with the mission complete they go back to their lives.

Grunt has a clan now and is more than likely with his people
Garrus is probably attending to personal matters
Tali is (barring exile) probably back with her people or figuring out what to do with herself
Jack is off doing whatever it is Jack does
Miranda/Jacob probably distancing themselves from cerberus
Mordin is back with STG and still probably trying to figure out that scale itch issue
Samara/Zaeed/Kasumi back to their old lives
Thane is more than likely spending his time with Kolyat

Grunt made Shepard his battlemaster right? I thought this was a "will follow you anywhere" type of choice. Maybe after the collector's he got bored and just left looking for something else to kill.

I'm not entirely certain, but doesn't Grunt say something along the lines of "If we run out of things to shoot, I'm gone."?

EDIT: If so, then Shep finishing his/her business and then reporting to the Alliance and being grounded would mean there's nothing left for Grunt to shoot and he'd be off to... uhh, shoot stuff.

I dont know but the post about New Shepard from ME3 that Chris Priestly posted strongly suggest we end up killing everyone on the suicide mission if we dont import but that kinda irks me because you had to try to get your squadmates killed on the SM in ME2.

I sorta think since Shepard knew the Normandy could fly with just EDI that he/she sent the mates off before returning to Earth so they wouldnt get in trouble with the Alliance or something. Probably the best explanation I see that BioWare could give to us.

maybe they'll give us a cutscene after they fly off in the normandy to explain what happens ya might just wait for the game to start gripin if they don't explain then gripe away.

Hey I have a problem that maybe you guys could help me with even though this is a Tali thread. Last weekend I started making a new mass effect 2 profile so I could have exactly what I wanted for mass effect 3. So far I am over halfway through a I thought I had what I wanted. However I started reading online and discovered that killing wrex and the rachni queen may have been a bad choice. I thought about making a new file but I can't do it in one weekend and I cant play during the week because I'm way too busy. Do you guys think those are major factors in mass effect 3 that will cause me to like die or fail in the end of the game and I should rush through the game this weekend? Or should I just continue with the other file because it won't be a big deal?

if you have or haven't played arrival, it will be explained through ME3. Bioware understands not everyone is willing to give up there food for a 10 dollar dlc. Also, i think this will be the same with finding old crew members, as much as i want to to know why Tali isn't on my lap for the get go. I want to find out through playing, or reading the strategy guide so i can get tali asap
