So I'm trying to play with my husband.  Since people can't seem to join the games we create, we try to find an open game with two slots.  Even when one of us has managed to find an open slot for the other (no mean feat by the way), when I (or he) attempt to join, we get a "game is full" message, even though there is no one joining fill to open slots. What's going on?

Why not just make your own game?

Crappy Origin being crap. Sometimes restarting Origin solved the problem.

Have played with my daughter many times.  Create a game with Private settings.  Invite her.  Then once she's in, set Mission Settings back to Public, and go from there.

This is something that they better include for release. What I'm referring to is the ability for players to join a party before joining a game, so they can join together.

Probably the bold part.

It's either a bug, or Origin being crap, like Neofelis Nebulosa said. We can only hope they fixed it for the retail version.

Try creating a private game then invite your husband. After he joined your lobby, you can invite more friends or make the lobby public to add some more people. Hope that helps.

EDIT:
Although origin sometimes tend to say the game is full -.-'

I have been trying this method for a the past few days.  Once friend is invited and I change game settings to "Public", no one joins.

It's so bugged.
You need to be able to join a party then begin matchmaking.

My brother and I have this problem too.

We've literally sat in a lobby for 10 minutes and no one joins.  If we happen to end up joining the same lobby via invites once someone leaves we it takes forever for someone else to be added.

I will say this weekend seemed to be better than last, maybe more people playing?  I'm hoping its just a demo thing.

Anyone with strict NAT settings is screwed. Origin not updating status for half hour windows isn't helping either,
