Now, now~  Just because we Vanguards have a few (thousand) bad seeds doesn't mean we are all crazed in our nova.

Many of us are considerate, kind and as gentle as a charge can be.

Some on remind me not to rez this guy when he gets shedded by a wayward turrent while I'm drawing the aggro from the ENTIRE ENEMY WAVE so that the team can finish objectives.

A good Vanguard is like a good Scout in TF2. Will people hate you? Yes, because you either replace peoples blood with buckshot, or you just die repeatedly in an inglorious fashion.

But when you do well, entire nations will bow to you.

Dammit. How am I supposed to hate turrets anymore when they're such adorable harbingers of the Happy Place?

I think It is not about hating. When playing a team game, every class heading off on its own is subject to 'scorn'. I get gripes about my Krogan beserker. I suspect there are also people complaining about infiltrators.
Vanguard get the most coplaints by the speed they move over the battlefield.

Vanguard haters alright, i've come to the wrong thread but seriously they own everything and everyone should play as vanguard so convert now clocks ticking btw you have only 3 hours on you.

Probably because vans charging is a lot flashier than infs cloaking and running off.  On the flip side, depending on how they've leveled and what their loadout is, an inf can get in, cap an objective, and get to safety without ever taking any serious fire.

This is actually why I struggle to get into Vanguard in multiplayer. I feel like I play a successful Vanguard (beat insanity), but when you get into the co-op setting... I'm always somewhere by myself and feel like I'm not helping out. Plus it's not uncommon to just get completely overwhelmed, especially by a turret.

I still love the class, though.

I am usually a team player except when I play vanguard. I got pm'd for not focusing on the objectives despite taking on most of the waves focus. A vanguard playing the objectives is ineffective. might as well be a soldier at that point.

yeah but the vanguard can take that "serious fire" away from the rest of the team basically doing the same thing a cloaking infiltrator could do but reverse.
