I doubt any dev would actualy make an official statement ni this, especialy before the game is released.
They will let the gamers uncover it by themself.
Just a few days left before we check it our self.

The flashback thing is lazy too, should fix that in a day one patch.

"No comments on rumors."
"You believe something from someone who probably doesn't have the game?" (even if they do)
Standard stuff.

I'll be annoyed if the relays get destroyed in all endings. There better be a good outcome where the galaxy gets saved and everyone survives.

There isn't. Everything posted meshes perfectly with the leaked scripts as well. The best you can hope for is the ultra paragon ending where Shepard is alive but alone.

The characters made us care about the narrative, thats the point. Theyre a condiment, narrative is the meal. The ruination of the characters may be unnecessarily brutal, but it certainly doesnt invalidate the narrative of the series.
Now I dislike the flashback bit (I wanted Miranda), I dislike Shepard's death (I want to see him deal with the ruination of galactic civilization in at least one ending, preferably the one witg the most tragic tone) but to say theres no reason to like Garrus because he gets stranded and maybe starves is hella shortsighted.
I am curious about how the series is gonna proceed, the flashback bit with no ME2 LIs makes me feel like they considered that just a fling (which I dislike as it renders those romances a side dish to the true main course presented in ME1), Id like a really sad Shepard lives ending so I can have a hero facing the consequences of events type thing, but finishing off the characters of a narrative as the narrative ends isnt bad. A lot of y'all are so attached to the characters that youre rejecting the plot; throwing out the baby with the bathwater, IMO.
Not saying this necessarily to convince anyone, but I try to speak up when in disagreement with something. Im willing to actually see the ending in action before I judge it. After all it cant be worse than Jade Empire.
But Im one of the heretical cretins that really likes DA2.

What gives me the most hope however is that the civilizations of the galaxy have a motivation to innovate that they never did before. The Reapers used the Citadel and Mass Relay to keep everyone on a specifically laid out plan for their own purposes. Take away Mass Relays and those species need to come up with their own ways around. Even if that means rebuilding Mass Relays, this time it's on OUR terms and we know it can be done, due to the Protheans and the Conduit.
I'm not saying it would happen fast enough for Shepard to rejoin the stranded Normandy crew... but rebuilding something and having something to go off of is often times a lot easier than starting from scratch. I know that my Shepard would be leading the call to build a new Mass Relay and I have little doubt that people on other worlds would be making similar calls for action shortly after the end of the Reaper threat.
Call it wishful thinking (it is) or fanfiction or what have you, but I think it's plausible and that's my upbeat turn-around for the day. Maybe I'm deluding myself, but I don't believe the survivors in the galaxy would just accept "I'm never going home" or "I'll never see so-and-so again."
Edit: I'd like to add that there is in-game evidence for FTL communications in existance, with the Quantum Entanglement tech we used in ME2 to talk to the Illusive Man, or even just talking to Admiral Hackett who was who knows where in ME1 and ME2. (continued) That means that it's possible that seperated star clusters might be able to share their discoveries and advancements, thus speeding recovery.

The worst part about all this is no comment from some at BioWare stating if this is bogus or not. Kind of reminds of the boards when DA2 forums where burning with hate, not a BioWare person in sight to do damage control. I think all I would take is for Stanley or Chris to come on the boards and make a short announcement if this should be taken with a grain or salt, or not, to make everyone feel a little better.
Lol I remember that. I bet the devs will be avoiding this forum like a plague. Sticking their fingers in their ears like "Lalalala! I can't hear you! This game is awesome! Lalalala!"

But with Bioware and other developers who give us choices and tell us that this is our story to make - it's completely different. Dragon Age 2 annoyed me because no matter what, your mother dies and everything goes to hell. Before that, Bioware bragged "this is your story". But it wasn't. The proof was whem the writers revealed THEY wanted Hawke's mother to die. THEY wanted the players to do this and that... And I feel Bioware is doing this again.
It just stinks when we're put in control and told our choices make our own unique ending when it really doesn't. I just wish Bioware would stop promoting the whole "this is your story" thing. It gets expectations too high.
But there is always fan fiction. There are plenty of heroes who appear to die at the end of a movie but they come back somehow. I'll just think Shepard is in a healing coma - like Superman.
Just needed to get that out, carry on everyone.

You know, when I use to play JRPGs only (thanks to having a PS2 only until 3 yrs ago), I had no problem with one or two endings to get. (Sometimes more - but usually because you had to find certain people, things, weapons, etc. and not because of any real choices.)

Thats because with JRPG's(which I still love) you're playing a set storyline so its easier to accept the ending you get, but with Bioware choice is pretty much their selling point so its a lot easier to get pissed when they do stuff like this.
