My Shepard is a hero. He makes the tough decisions to make sure the ones around him are safe. And if he has to make the ultimate sacrifice then he will, but that won't do much for post game dlc. That's why I'm not putting my money on any of the leaks being real or not.

I just dont get why ME1 and ME2 had such a heroic endings. You could always do everything right, save the galaxy and walk unharmed.
Its like telling fairy tale, where everything is sunshine and butterflies... but in the end, everybody dies and everything is screwed, for some reason.

I dunno, I thought the endings were vague overshadowing of the inevitable doom upon the Galaxy.

Nothing says inevitable doom like a immortal hero who can do the impossible ...

/= Immovable Object vs Irresistable force.

Eagle can fly, but canary can sing.

...Ohhh, I take a number two on your chest, and make you feel like number one.

Yeah, I can't think of anything.

agreed. have fun with the majority of the game. Other than the ending, everything else I've seen seems pretty good

Meh, I don't know.  I already know the Gameplay will be enjoyable, I'll probably just skip the ending unless it has good music with it.  Really, the script narration sounds silly, but when you flesh it out it sounds better.

I wasn't either, until I realized they can pull a DA:O and have any DLC revert to right before the final mission.

Sucks, yeah.

Re-reading the text I noticed something interesting and am not sure it has been metioned yet:

The relays always 'ignite' but I'm not sure if they're always destroyed. Maybe. Basically a red/blue/green light is shown erupting from each of the mass relays as Shepard's choice is implemented across the galaxy.

For the destroy ending, yes the relays are destroyed and we are plunged into a galactic dark age, but for control and merge it is quite possible that the relays aren't destroyed and the Normandy is permanetly stranded. Of course Shepard is dead, but at least the crew/squad/LI aren't S.O.L.

Personally, the merge option is looking like the best one.

Look at this image, in all endings, the relays look like they're exploding.  This is especially clear in Merge, green.  They changed it so all relays are destroyed.  A godawful idea.

Dang it, I was holding on to hope that these rumors were not true. Now we have a pic, that gives a lot more credit to the rumors., er um the endings.

Still trying to figure out how to reply to posts. Anyway the comment about how the da:o dlc worked is true and it would be a let down to a point. Can't wait to play though. It's been a long road

I have seen some crappy endings to tv shows over the years this idea is right up there and its the paragon ending from what I have read

I would not mind the whole relay idea if it did not cut shepard and the others who get stuck with him off from the rest of the crew if it was the whole crew crashing on the planet I would not have so much of a problem with it

I def agree with this, it just makes me wonder after the ending even if shepard lives what will happen to him when the games over. Does he die either way slowly or what? Guess I will be my own judge of the ending when I finally see it for myself but from what I am hearing I better find all the assests for the I guess "good" ending.

I thought of an explanation for how you can destroy the Reapers without destroying all their technology. Pick the control ending, Shepard is now trapped in some control thing and has to constantly control them, leaving Shepard stuck there.

Well here's an idea, you have control of the Reapers, and you need to stay where you are so they don't break your control, right? Well, since you control them, make the entire fleet commit suicide in the nearest star. So pick control, and just pretend that Shepard killed all the Reapers by making them fly into a star or blackhole, and then is able to leave the control thing freely.

Better yet, pretend Shepard stays there a year or so and makes the Reapers rebuild a few mass relays and shares their knowledge to galactic society about how to build them, and THEN makes them all kill themselves and Shepard is free. 10 years after the end, dozens of mass relays have been rebuilt, the Normandy crew is okay, Shepard is free and alive, the Reapers are dead, the Geth and EDI are alive too, happy ending.

Wait, is it possible that the image of the relay exploding is from Arrival? We did blow up a relay in that DLC. Is there still hope these rumors are not fact.

Rumors are just rumors. It's all gotten out of hand I believe. Enough for an effective immediately code of conduct change to bsn. Probably because some are getting bent out of shape over rumors. Just treat rumors for what they are and find out next week.

It ceases to be rumors when people are currently playing the game as we speak.

Overall most information that has come in has been confirmed by images and such, or been consistantly accurate enough to believe additional information to be true as well.
