I agree -- the flashback thing is very much small time. I don't agree with the SomethingAwful guy that that's the big rage vector, although BSN being BSN, it will be moaned-about for years anyway.

That one bit about the ending though. I mean Jesus, they really couldn't even throw us a solitary bone and instead had to go out of their way to smack us with it.

Mmm...I hope so, Jeff. I've been trying for years to explain to non-fans that ME's about more than just which pixels Shepard gets to stick his penis in, despite appearances to the contrary (and I do enjoy the romance sidequests). A ****storm that's large even by our standards might well shatter that little fantasy of mine. <_<
Oh, and ask the goons when they're going to do another BSN trawl.

I think it's rather half-assed, but that's my only problem with it.

Reading through all the spoiler groups, there's no way BW could please everybody with the ending. I can already imagine threads proclaiming 'ME3 ruined my childhood'.

Yeah, I care about Tali in the context of the story. I'd want her to show up in a sequence of Shepards most important people and I feel that if BioWare thinks it's okay to shoehorn Liara into that sequence for everybody but Kaidan/Ashley lovers, then it shows a lak of understanding of their fans sensibilities. Why shouldn't I think that?

Sloppy, yes, very much so. It's a degree of half-assery that should not be happening in this game. I hope it gets patched not because I'm a ticked off fangirl that wants to see her LI from ME2, but because it's half-assed, sloppy, and surely important enough to try and find a fix for.

I wasn't directing my response directly at you. It's about a general attitude a lot of people have about other people on the forums. It always bugs me that wanting immersion in a story for some reason is excoriated.
