So very tempted to hint this in the General Forums. It'll probably balloon out to over 500 pages. :D

Oh come on. Let them have their innocence for another week.

Yes, their tears will be so much more delicious when they get the ending on their own... I can see it now "What? This is the ending? That can't be right... I know, my readiness must not have been high enough!" *Spends 30hours grinding in the multiplayer to earn readiness points, beats game again, nothing changes.... Im a little confused, surely if you take your LI along as part of the hammer team and you have a high enough score, then they live and they are in the coorect place for happy endings (earth)? Well presuming you have a high enough score for shep to survive too. Or does the sr2 randomly fly down and pick them up for no apparent reason?

The sad part is people will actually do that.  Supposedly a guy got a copy of the guide and it stated that there was a NG+ video and that turned out to be false.  So we're not sure if he was lying or if it's actually in the guide.  I'm going to die laughing if the guide is wrong on this and makes people playthrough again.

My understanding is essentially that.  The SR2 comes by to pick up your two companions as Harbinger does something that makes you go solo and then the SR2 runs for a relay due to an explosion.  The guy who played the game said the whole sequence didn't even make sense.

I too am confused on that matter... and the writer seemed confused on another issue which I'm questioning too, namely the effect of these decisions on the Mass Relays themselves.

Edit: Perhaps I should say, I'm confused about what he says about the Relays...

Relays get destroyed in all endings.

Relays get destroyed in all endings.

See, that just blows my mind because in Arrival, that means entire star systems go up in flames. How does ANYONE survive anything? I'm just totally lost now...

Edited to add: Even if it's not a "supernova" like explosion, that still means the galaxy as we know it ceases to exist. I mean, they may be able to rebuild Mass Relays eventually, but for now... it just seems like taking a sledgehammer to a house of cards, this is so over the top.

Well, I'm just glad I know the worst now. I'll be able to relax on the 6th and enjoy the game without any false hopes. Anything good happening will just be a pleasant surprise. In the mean time I really just want to sit over here and pretend it's all just people trolling, and at the end Shepard is skipping through sunny meadows with her robot dog.....

Seems to be about right... though I still like my "it's all a psychological social experiment to see what happens when fans lose their minds" idea... wait... he's a doctor, isn't he? Image IPB

I WAS RIGHT!!! (note: not really, still just a joke)

I totally wanted a "carry on my wayward son, there'll be peace when you are done" ending...it's all just one big mind fk mind fk mind fk...

My brain hurts worse now than when I first saw Inception....

You know what's silly? Yahtzee might actually approve of this game because of all the darkness.

See what I mean... the more I think about it, the more that "experiment on fans driven over the edge" theory sounds plausible.

Note: still not serious... yet - though I may be purchasing shares in companies that manufacture straight jackets in the coming days.

Eventually, CDR will be too tired from bouncing around. You'll wake up, and realise this is only a bad dream. :wizard:

Okay...I've just come to the realization that anything and everything else I've ever complained about with this game is now moot. So moot. Like, small cookies. Molehills in comparison to Mt. Everest.

*Rocks in the corner again*

@Fluffy - Can't you see it? The age of humanity has ended! No...I am the only sane one left!

Well the Reapers are here, they are destroying earth, multiple systems are on lockdown while Shepard is trying to get people to fight them.....I don't expect to have an ending where everything is all sunshine and rainbows.

I actually expected my LI to be killed in front of Shepard. or the final battle be a suicide run into the Reaper fleet with the strongest bomb possible as a paragon ending, and a lets join the reapers as a renegade option.

I'm not looking for skipping, singing, nor rainbows, but I think there's room for an ending with shades of gray rather than just dead or forever alone Shep. I think DAO actually did this pretty well, and ME3 could've done this in much more epic proportions. We don't need a ME2 "everyone lives" ending, it would just be nice to have an ending that's a bit more uplifting since much more is sacrificed throughout ME3 already.

I would like the rainbows and unicorns ending... as far as that is possible with billions of dead people. But for me the perfect ending is Reapers destroyed, Earth survived, Shepard survived, spends rest of his life with his LI. And I'm willing to work for that.
But with a guaranteed screw-over for the ending, I'll probably just play the game once, like Dragon Age 2.

BioWare really should get over this identity crisis, stop dressing in black and cutting themselves.

Blanket statement: I'm not really going crazy...just trying to get the almost-5-am-and-totally-shocked goofs out of my system.

I'd push for happy ending DLC. I think a lot of people would, too...I think it could happen. Or maybe I should just go to bed and stop deluding myself. :pinched:

@CDRSkyShepard I know you're not really losing it, just playing along.

But yeah, if this is all right (and at this point I have no reason to believe it's not), I'll likely be asking for a "happy ending" DLC too. It's been done before in at least one other game I know of...
