Well that depends on how much you liked ME 2, phimseto...all I'm going to say.
Well...that is intriguing. I liked the premise of me2 and enjoyed a lot of it. Its main storytelling failure in my opinion was that for a men on a mission tale, there wasnt enough party interaction or tension. In those stories, the group is the antagonist. The enemy is just a macguffin that brings them together. We needed more scenes like Jack and Miranda or legion and tali, as well as incidental dialogue out in the world.
Guessing that doesn't get at what you are hinting...lol...

Is the reason the endings are bad because of issues or just how they are written?

The one thing I can say is take your time until you reach the end game and be mindfull of your choices before you make them.
For when the end comes, one final decission must be made...
...and a consequence, you must bear.

Actually the german review (which was rather positive) said something like this. You need 20 hours for the main quest and 20 for all the side quests which are needed for a good ending. I am thinking maybe the guy just rushed through and got the emo ending because of that?
No the guy had the full amount. 4k like another leak said the amount needed to be. He even went through the files themselves and looked at all the videos.

Pretty much my thoughts, I feel like I got hit in the stomach. I've loved Bioware for a long time, but this... it hurts. I pray it's not true...SonofOrion wrote...

Honestly after DA2 I am unsecure. I thought oh well it is Bioware and they have hundrets of people, QA, etc. etc. How bad can it be? And then they tried to destroy everything I love about DA:O (and DA in general). And that's after devs were like 'why do people always assume we do it in the worst possible way'? Well DA2 was probably not the worst possible but bad enough for alot of people take a step back. If it was before DA2 I actually would not believe they could screw something up so much that I regret ever having played the game.101ezylonhxeT wrote...

Yea if the rumors end up being true, I'll be pretty disappointed. And just further proof that Bioware has lost their magic touch.
Its not bioware its a certain "lead writer" <_<
Even if it were, you'd suppose that there are enough people in the decision-making process that someone in the chain of command would go "Mmmmmh..." when the lead writer scribbles out a series of emo dreck endings for one of their biggest franchises. I really can't understand how they can not see what reaction this will provoke.
They probably know what the reaction will be and are probably hoping it won't be as loud as we know it will be so expect 5 to 8 locked threads on the 1st page of the general discussion forum on march 7th and onward.

I don't want spoilers. Are people upset because it makes no sense, it isn't how they wanted the series to end, or because its just lame/bad writing?
A little of all three, really. Without spoiling things it's not "Oh, look, it's a giant four eyed space terminator" type disappointment that the Mass Effect 2 ending was, but the endings are on a similar level of writing standard.
Then again, after the Prothean retcon I should be ready for anything.

Lets just say that the endings are quite sadistic. Next week the forums will burn and bioware better have a good flame shield to protect themselves.
Yeah sadistic is quite a good word for it, think i shall use that from now on. Dunno what the hell they were thinking....

Yeah, and that's the other side of the coin, which, IMO, is even more troubling. If they expect the most likely reaction and apparently welcome it, what does that say about them in regards to how they regard their fan-base?
Honestly, if BioWare wanted to get rid of their fans, they couldn't do a better job at the moment.

Jesus stop with the spoilers. If everyone spoils just a bit like this we will have the whole story in a couple of hours. Someone mentions hard decisions, someone death, someone Tali and Liara. I mean honestly, could as well copy paste the leak.101ezylonhxeT wrote...

I have already giving up hope on DA and don't intend to buy anything related to that franchise so long as they think adding anything remotely similar or related to DA2 is a good idea in the least.
