I can't even find the thread that the ending discussion apparently is taking place in. The closest thing to a spoiler thread I see is gameplay discussion, where spoilers are allowed, but searching both "end" and "ending" gets me only a few threads, the biggest one being 8 posts.

Okay, visited the spoiler thread on this now. I seriously hope this isn't everything we get. If it is, I really fear to go the internet post-release, as it will burn.

Sadly, after DA2 and the Deception fiasco, I actually have alarmingly little problems believing that every piece of the new infos is true.

Even if it were, you'd suppose that there are enough people in the decision-making process that someone in the chain of command would go "Mmmmmh..." when the lead writer scribbles out a series of emo dreck endings for one of their biggest franchises. I really can't understand how they can not see what reaction this will provoke.

They probably know what the reaction will be and are probably hoping it won't be as loud as we know it will be so expect 5 to 8 locked threads on the 1st page of the general discussion forum on march 7th and onward.

Yeah, and that's the other side of the coin, which, IMO, is even more troubling. If they expect the most likely direction and apparently welcome it, what does that say about them in regards to how they regard their fan-base? 

Honestly, if BioWare wanted to get rid of  their fans, they couldn't do a better job at the moment.

Maybe it's allagorical for the future of Bioware.

Well, OP asked about import bugs, and there does seem to be an issue with importing ME1 faces, which is to say faces without facecodes aren't importing and have to be remade.

Jesus stop with the spoilers. If everyone spoils just a bit like this we will have the whole story in a couple of hours. Someone mentions hard decisions, someone death, someone Tali and Liara. I mean honestly, could as well copy paste the leak.

They're not spoiling anything story related. Any trouble would come from the hugely unequal treatments the various romances receive.

If this is the magnitude of the fall from grace (no pun intended), Bioware will be the fourth  part of the triumvirate of xmas past: Bullfrog, origin and westwood.

Ill buy the game.
Ill make up my own mind.
But after the intro, and the novels the story had better damn well deliver.

I'll say this: it's not bad writing. Each ending is very emotionally powerful. They make sense. They tie up all the loose ends.

However, they are all tragic. All of them. Some more so than others

In ME2, you were given the choice of how good your ending would be. If you wanted a real happy ending, you could get it. If you wanted it to be more tragic, you could get that, too. In little variations down to "total devastation".

In ME3, you can get "totally screwed over", "absolutely screwed over", "really, really screwed over" and "no, we weren't kidding, you are screwed over! Haha, thanks for giving us your money. LOSERS!".

Ok well I only ever romanced Liara. In that case I guess I am on the safe side. They mentioned that switching around LIs may end badly.
