On Insanity it's much more difficuly to handle everything on your own.. Not undoable (as I find myself having to take care of business on my own once and a while anyway), but I find a bigger focus on positioning people and trying to keep an enemy shifting targets and such. The problem I seem to have is sometimes my squad mates are morons.
It almost seems to be related to specific characters as well that seem like they don't listen and end up dying. Now it could just be the fact that the lower health characters die faster and hence it seems like they are listening less than higher health characters.
But here's an example:
Last night I was going through the facility to pick up Jack. I took Zaeed and Jacob (the inferno grenade and ammo was nice to make quick work of those blue sun soldiers after my Sentinel stripped their defenses).
Well we had a few real good fire fights and I set Zaeed on a left barrier and Jacob on the right (setting the arrow right behind the barrier), and then I ran through and took a position a bit forward to concentrate enemy fire on Shep and led Zaeed and Jacob hit them from a distance.
Well I'm fighting and I hear. Ugh... Ow.. ugh... argh..
And I turn to look and Jacob is infront of the barrier I positioned him behind kneeling and firing.. why?! I told you to stand behind cover..
Jacob ended up dying 2-3 times during the rescue attempt on Jack, meanwhile Zaeed was kicking butt and taking names, and listening to every command I gave.. If I put him somewhere he went there and stayed..
So am I using the squad commands wrong? Is placing the arrow not where they will go and just generally where they should be or something?
I'd like to continue on through the game without after every hard fight having to replenish my whole supply of medigel to pick up the slack of a squaddy that doesn't listen..
Seriously.. I'd leave them dead if I didn't need them at times..
