The Child's play is certainly a brilliant idea. With all the bitterness around the game it's the only thing that comforts me seeing the unity it brought and it will actually end up good in any way.

If I had $$ i'd def donate, if it's still up i'll donate :]

It's still up

And now it's up to $9775... :o At this rate we might break $10K within the hour!

Don't know if this has been posted yet... have the greatest respect for him, but wonder what his feelings would be if he did play the game -

He wouldn't have been able to save it. I believe it was mostly a corporate decision rather than author's creative license. And yes, he is one of those that deserve our respect...

No, your choices on ME1 and ME2 actually DO matter.
you just can reunite geth and quarians if both legion and tali survived ME2, made both loyal, did not blow up the heretic geth base, gave the evidence about tali's dad the court and whatnot.
you just can cure the genophage if you saved the research data from mordins guy, and did not destroy it.
you get biotic teens and jack if jack survived, her as war asset (and meet her at the purgatory)
dunno about the fate of the collector base, though
The choices influence your ME3 gameplay, but ...Thing is, they do NOT influence the ending at all, either you saved all people in ME2 or whatever not, your choice is just between three (or two) different flavours of space magic.

Exactly. No one understands that we are not saying they don't matter; they DO...except in the very end. Then it's all...colors. Space Magic. :pinched:

So guys if the game did take the indoctrination route...Would that be ok? Or would the outrage continue...I'm just wondering if indoctrination is a well liked or supported theory.
Isn't there still the point of us getting an unfinished game?

I would be ok with that as long as it was followed up by some DLC that gives us an epilogue type explaination of what happens after the breath that has more than one type of ending.  And after I did the destroy ending I didn't get the breath because my readiness wasn't high enough, but all this talk of the indoctrination thing has me on the precipice of wanting to play it a second time to get that breath in case there really truly is a plan from BW.  Too afraid to fully hope yet though, still waiting on word from BW, not cryptic tweets, on whether or not I'm going to be canceling my sub to TOR.

I would also like to say humbly that BW would get a lot of my trust back if they defended our right to express our discontent with the ending to all the game 'reviewers' and media outlets that are trying to belittle us for it, especially those who hadn't even finished the game yet but still called us names.Image IPB  As it has been stated before Bioware themselves say they always read fan feedback and always seem to encourage it.  But telling us this (Casey Hudson in tweet) is not the same as openly chastising the coverage of this to those outlets who are abusing BW consumers/fans.

I have to say I am proud of how on track we've stayed!  Yea everyone Image IPB   Hold the line!  Donating to charity now.  brb

The only reason I would be "okay" with this is because I don't see them replacing an entire ending - if ending DLC is even a possibility.  And since they're keeping mum we don't know if it's because they have something planned or they're shocked that people don't like the ending, so I wouldn't say that they gave us an unfinished game either.  The indoctrination theory for me is just a way to "make sense" of whatever it was I watched last night.  I got a disc read error on the Xbox right before you run towards the laser beam towards the Citadel - it was a sign that something was going to go wrong.

If indoctrination is true, as long as there's follow up to it to give us a bit of closure, that would be fine with me and, I think, the vast majority of us.

I have to say, this is one of the most incredible games I've ever played ... right up to the last fifteen minutes, which offer no closure, no satisfaction, and no sense. I wanted to feel heroic and rewarded for all my hard work and I got none of it. The rest of the game was brilliant, I just don't understand how it could have fallen apart so completely at the end. As a professional writer, it almost looks to me as if the game was finished by a different team from the rest.

Now my mother taught me never to be critical without offering solutions, so here's how I would have done it.

I'll warn you now, it's big.

If you read it and like it, repost it anywhere you can. The more info that gets around, the more likely Bioware is to respond.

If they are, good for them.  While this is about our message, it's also about helping some kids that really need it.  If there's any one thing I take from this, win or lose, is that we did some good on this planet.

Question to the original poster.

What if I was in Hiroshima and managed to saved let's say a thousand people from many incidents, only to have a big nuke dropped on their head. Would you still say that the thousand people I saved earlier mattered? If we all died nevertheless?

I finished the game today actually and seeing an ending that to me.
1.Made no sense whatsoever.
2.Made me think why was I making choices again?
3.Writers got the word "Out of time finish it now"
4.If they make a movie and it does well, that trilogy I am sure wouldn't end like this. lol.

Try doing it just as a guest, don't use your paypal account.  If you don't have a credit card, go to a bank and get one of those temporary ones that you preload money on, then donate.  That's how a friend of mine does all of his online purchasing.

Yep. If this has all been planned and is really indoctrination, then I'll be fine. The only thing that would upset me a bit would be paying for the ending of a game that I assumed my $60 already covered. I would still do it, of course, but I wouldn't be perfectly content, even if it did include an incredibly awesome boss fight.

It would for me. I personally love/hate it when someone manages to trick me like that - it happens so rarely that when something manages to surprise me I like it that much more for not being so obvious that I saw it coming a mile away.

If this is all planned, it's brilliant. Sure, I'll feel like an idiot for picking the wrong choice (synthesis) and being gullible and what have you, but at the same time... It'd be pretty impressive to pull something like that off, especially in the day of YouTube and Facebook and the "once one person knows it, everyone knows it."
