Brb. Ugly laughing.

A colour blind person posted here a while ago and said they couldn't even tell the endings apart.

You sir owe me a new G110 keyobard, seeing as how a mouthfull of water just sprayed all over mine

Look on the brightside.

Your keyboard still had a better ending than ME3!

Actually the multiple endings thing is technically true. If you stick to your guns and play pure Paragon (but can't charm TIM, like I couldn't) then you get shot in the face and die.

That's a different ending, right? Riiight?

Hello to everyone, new recruits and vets. I'm really surprised at how far this is going. Within a space of 1 week, we have gone much further than initially thought. For anyone who hasn't been able to keep track of all that's been happening, check out the thread on my sig with all the links that everyone has been putting up.

With all the media attention we've been getting (and its been trending towards neutral, even positive views) I doubt Bioware/EA can afford to continue with their current strategy of keeping silent or giving vague answers.

Hold the line!!!

Can someone with Twitter PLEASE comment on this. The only difference between the endings is the colors of the explosions...

Funny thing from Wikipedia about Casey Hudson:
"His most recent title Mass Effect 3 had over 70 perfect 10/10 review scores, the rest of the reviewers completed the game."

Since it is more and more likely that we will have to live with the ending for now, I did alittle interpretation myself...

Technically, there are about 16 endings, but most of them only change a line of dialogue or two.

I am not sure how many people here are going along with the idea that this whole thing is a giant troll but I have a question about it. If this turns out to be the biggest troll/pr stunt in gaming history would you be impressed or angry at Bioware?

Actually, I would be mad as hell. Because they ruined my ME experience permanently. I would still get the endings (if there will be such dlc's) and I would play them. I would probably even like them. But I would never feel the same for the game again. And that is where BioWare have failed so badly.

Anger. Burning inside with violent anger. That's Sephiroth anger, son.

Let's say everything works out. Let's say they release a free DLC called "Sorry, Our Bad" and it completely fixes everything. You get a customized LI intro, a DA:O style pre-parade party and a customized LI outro if you had one. Everything is wrapped up, the Catalyst turns out to be a rock that doesn't give you any lip, the Reapers get blown up and the relays do not, Joker doesn't randomly flee the scene, etc. Let's say all of that happens.

Nothing will undo the ending you recieved when you had just finished one of the best invasion style battles ever created. The entire Earth mission was just fantastic. And your mind is permantently scarred with how it ended. Nothing short of Eternal Sunshining the entire game away and then downloading this mythical DLC so it literally never happened can undo the damage Bioware has done.

I hope they do make a DLC to change all that. Hell, I'd even pay for it just for closure. And then I'd never purchase anything by that company every again. They could give me a free copy of DA 3 and I'd throw it away because I know the end would just ****** me off.

Bleh. You know what is going to make me feel a little better? I'm going to write that ending as a fanfic and post it. Perhaps that will exercise some of this malice.

Yeah, for sure but it's disappointing that they are misleading people that way. That kid seems so excited talking about how he can't wait to strike back at the Reapers :(

If Bioware do release DLC that alters the ending and charge players for it that'd be one of the biggest PR nightmares in history.

And let's be honest, even if Bioware do release an altered ending it may indeed be more satisfying, those of us that completed the game in it's original form will still have it in their mind that Bioware's original endings were the first ones and as those will be the first endings experienced by the majority of players they will stick in their minds. Rewriting the endings may show that Bioware do indeed have interest in listening to their fans, but I'm not sure at this moment if it would absolve my sense of disappointment.

Reporting in.

I'm sitting here wanting to get my Vanguard through ME2 so I can have my heart torn out by ME3 again, but first I must read through 20 or so pages.

Hold the line.

2.44 in the morning now, going to bed.

I think with more and more articles talking positively about our movement, it shows that we are mire than just spoiled brats and whiners.

Good night, and it'll be exciting to see how many pages this thread has tomorrow.

I'd say that I really don't believe that Bioware intentionally went out of their way to ****** gamers off just to later 'rewrite' the ending with DLC to make money, I just believe it was part of a misguided attempt at doing something different to the standard "kill the bad guys, run off into the sunset, and live happily ever after" endings that a lot of games seem to get these days.

On the face of it, it wasn't a bad idea, just badly executed from a RPG point of view because of the lack of closure it brings to the series and all the questions it leaves unanswered.

agree.

The best thing about the charity rising so fast is that i can really imagine those EA managers sitting in front of their computers thinking:

"Damn, those 10.000 bucks could have been ours in form of more DLCs if we just didn't messed up with the end"

And the amount is still increasing.... fast.... very fast ;).
As i said many times before, i wont pay one single cent to EA/Bioware for their DLCs/MP Packs/What ever is about to come and much rather give the money to the charity i would have spend for those stuff otherwise!

It actually doens't tell you(at least not on the Xbox). I mean, if you're not paying attention to the stupid kid, you don't know which one is which because it isn't labeled and it doesn't ask for a conformation before you pick it..I kind of guessed that destroy was on the right. :?

It doesn't tell you on the PC either, you really have to pay attention to the ghost child. I should have walked to each of them but I was walking so slowly. I got a question though, when the ghost child is telling you about your choices, how come it shows Anderson blowing up the reapers and not Shepard?

I actually tried walking to one with the intention of walking up to each of them in turn but you can't. It seems that once you start heading down a particular path you can't turn back. Anyone else have the same thing happen to them?

Haha, let's see. Shepard, you can either die, die or die! Choose carefully!
