So we can't get the ending we want after all?

Actually the multiple endings thing is technically true. If you stick to your guns and play pure Paragon (but can't charm TIM, like I couldn't) then you get shot in the face and die.
That's a different ending, right? Riiight?
yes, sir, that's another ending.

What are your thoughts on the reaction to the game’s endings?
I didn’t want the game to be forgettable, and even right down to the
sort of polarizing reaction that the ends have had with people–debating
what the endings mean and what’s going to happen next, and what
situation are the characters left in. That to me is part of what’s
exciting about this story. There has always been a little bit of mystery
there and a little bit of interpretation, and it’s a story that people
can talk about after the fact.
So....original plan failed, time to rage?

It actually doens't tell you(at least not on the Xbox). I mean, if you're not paying attention to the stupid kid, you don't know which one is which because it isn't labeled and it doesn't ask for a conformation before you pick it..I kind of guessed that destroy was on the right.
It doesn't tell you on the PC either, you really have to pay attention to the ghost child. I should have walked to each of them but I was walking so slowly. I got a question though, when the ghost child is telling you about your choices, how come it shows Anderson blowing up the reapers and not Shepard?
I actually tried walking to one with the intention of walking up to each of them in turn but you can't. It seems that once you start heading down a particular path you can't turn back. Anyone else have the same thing happen to them?
Now that's dumb. What if I changed my mind in the middle?

Yup, changed my mind, started walking back. Then it said "The Crucible has been destroyed."

If Bioware do release DLC that alters the ending and charge players for it that'd be one of the biggest PR nightmares in history.
And let's be honest, even if Bioware do release an altered ending it may indeed be more satisfying, those of us that completed the game in it's original form will still have it in their mind that Bioware's original endings were the first ones and as those will be the first endings experienced by the majority of players they will stick in their minds. Rewriting the endings may show that Bioware do indeed have interest in listening to their fans, but I'm not sure at this moment if it would absolve my sense of disappointment.
Maybe, but if there is an ending where Shepard survives, kills the Reapers, and gets to live with his LI for the rest of his days, it will go a long way in making people happier.

Brb. Ugly laughing.
A colour blind person posted here a while ago and said they couldn't even tell the endings apart.
I don't know whether to laugh, sympathize, or ask if you're serious as I had to skip the last 20 pages or so or risk falling far behind.

Does this guy knows that the only reason we are commenting about the endings is because they suck?

Jeremy Jahns posted his video on the endings. Wonderful!
I love Jeremy always watch his stuff.
Took a hammer and hit the nail on the head. Everything he said was exactly what we are talking about here all 16 endings equal the same thing with slight variations.
Its like I said before: Bioware is better than that. Heck they know better than that. That's why to me it's so sad, that this is what it has come to. People expected something great and in the end... Well you know the end.
Also that Shepard and Garrus bit would of been amazing.

I am not sure how many people here are going along with the idea that this whole thing is a giant troll but I have a question about it. If this turns out to be the biggest troll/pr stunt in gaming history would you be impressed or angry at Bioware?[/quote]
Since my major was business, I would say I'de be pretty impressed. It would take some serious balls, to play with the perception of a publicly traded company such as EA is.
However as a gamer and a fan of ME, I would be pretty pissed, especially since I have never felt thisbad about an ending in any medium. Pissed but Impressed.
