"I didn’t want the game to be forgettable, and even right down to the sort of polarizing reaction that the ends have had with people–debating what the endings mean and what’s going to happen next, and what situation are the characters left in. That to me is part of what’s exciting about this story. There has always been a little bit of mystery there and a little bit of interpretation, and it’s a story that people can talk about after the fact."
He has so missed the point. We were told by Bioware that ME3 was the end of Shepards story. And there are articles that quote there would be an ending where our questions would be answered and there would be closure since this is Shepards last ME story. This response just baffles me, why do they keep sidestepping?
And the interpretations are more born of desparation not to believe that this is in fact what we are left with. Still heart wrenching.

Also, the Rachni!? When I saved them I felt like that decision was gonna weigh very heavily in ME3. But instead we just go save some queen and she promises to help us. Then they just become numbers on some screen. You never see them help you.
I wanna continue typing but I just start going insane when I think of all the plot holes, all my unanswered questions I soon hope will be answered.

Quick question. Has anyone just stood there after the kid stops his soliloquy? I mean just stood there and stared at the kid like you wanted his head mounted on the wall?
Yes. Infact, a full five minutes when I got to the ending. <_<

Oh man... I played ME 1 now 3 times, ME 2 I played 3 times and now just finisehd this one here.
For what?
All is destroyed, my character looses his live or at least his love...
For what did I make that all?
Bioware.. this was a huge fail!
Bring in some kind of ending where it all works.. I had over 7.000 points and done all missions and always choosen most paragon what I could.. and then this?
Give us an ending, that will be hard to reach (not impossible) and where they win and Shepard can continue living with his love and friends etc ... (I had chosen Liara
Do it, Bioware!

Yeah this is pure spin. He's not really this dense. "polarizing" or "not forgettable" is code-spin like "controversial" - they are words spinners substitute for "unpopular." The problem, of course, is that the ending itself IS forgettable - blending into a morass of cliche and old device. It's the let-down we're all experience that we're not likely to forget, and that's fueling this call for changes. NOT the same thing - and he knows it.PhoenixDove1 wrote...
I'm posting a response from Casey Hudson when asked 'What are your thoughts on the reaction to the game’s endings?' from this link posted earlier http://www.digitaltr...-controversies/
"I didn’t want the game to be forgettable, and even right down to the sort of polarizing reaction that the ends have had with people–debating what the endings mean and what’s going to happen next,
And no one is debating what the endings mean, really. We're desperately trying to retcon some sense into them, like an old-school Marvel No-Prize, but no one's pondering the philosophical implications, which is what his statement implies. No, we're going "Well.... uh... maybe it could make sense if...uh..." which, again, is not the same thing.
Sigh.

I just finished the game...
I can't believe what a terrible impression the endings left me with. The game was awesome, I actually almost burst into tears a few times while playing, it was -that good-. I quickly forgave it it's simplified dialogues, because I couldn't get enough of the story and well executed apocalyptic themes. Nothing could go wrong, or so it seemed.
Then god-child shows up, I'm given three "press a button to make ultimate choice" endings, and maybe that wouldn't have been so bad if they didn't differ only in the shockwave color (blue/green/red). If that's the only and final ending we're going to get, why couldn't have Shepard just bled out next to Anderson amidst exploding Reapers? That would have ironically been better. I don't get it, Reapers gone (one way or another), relays destroyed, crew stranded on a planet, where's the difference, where's the choice, what's the point? It makes no sense, is utterly pointless and hollow, and provides zero closure no matter your choices.
Is this the epic conclusion I've waited for years to see? Really? Oh God, I'll just pretend Shepard bled out next to Anderson and the latter part is some horrible mistake.
want to know something worst? Heres the cut dialogue... Tissues needed
These two youtube uploads are extended clips of the dialouge between Shepard and Anderson before meeting the Catalyst:

Yeah. You lose the game. Just auto-fail, no cutscene, just THE CRUCIBLE HAS BEEN DESTROYED in giant letters and resume/quit/scream menu comes up. Uh, I may have hallucinated that last option

Well, I've tried shooting him repeatedly, but . . . alas, nothing does the trick. Looks like he just stands there... Stupid godchild.
