I am starting to feel like Mr. Furious. I've been trying to contain it, but I'm starting to lose it.

As long as you don't turn green, I think you will be alright..

On the other hand, look what I just saw tweeted:

From Jenn@FrecklesO4
@JessicaMerizan There are quite a few posts flying about on Tumblr, but for BSN, I'm not sure. I try to avoid it...folks are too negative.

See people, we are too negative... /lol

Still holding strong...

Slowly, but surely the rest of the net is proving this "the end haters are wrong/whiny/too negative/ too mainstream"
is completly wrong and out of touch. Damage control is one thing, but to see denial on the other foot is priceless.

When you have something like Forbes agreeing with you, and other "mainstream" gaming sites slowly coming around, you know you have a PR nightmare on your hands.

I wonder when will Bioware realize that this goes way further than a PR nightmare. As it stands i could easilly turn into a legal nightmare with suits been filled against them from delivering an incomplete product, if not fraud itself (if we can prove they knew what they were doing)..

Sadly I am in Brazil...

Good luck getting that to stick.. I'd much rather avoid throwing around the legalese.  If it ever comes to a point I have to sue a company to get what they promised/were most definitely capable of, it means I just won't be a customer of said company anymore.  I'm not going to take EA to court over anything (assuming there was any merit in the first place).  I will, and am however not buying EA/Bioware products/renewing my, or others I pay for's TOR subscription until I'm satisfied with the outcome of my complaint.  :)

Besides, threatening to sue a company on their own forums is just looking for trouble ;)

I didn't say that I would sue them. I just mispelled a sentence when I meant to say "As it stands IT could..." not that "I could..."

First of all, I am in Brazil and don't have neither the time nor the energy to put in such a case. Secondly, I have been a Bioware loyal fan too long to go that far.. I just want an answer, and if there is no answer available, I just want to forget...

But because I am not taking any action about it, it is not impossible for someone else to do it. And even if EA/Bioware wins, it will add more bad publicity tarnishing their reputation even further...

I don't know about any of you, but I think it's just sad to see a company like Bioware to fall so low. I still remember when the name meant respect and quality.. Now, I just don't know..

It makes me feel better, knowing so many people feel the same way about the endings like I do. Gonna take a while for me just to finish my first (and probably only) playthrough.

Also that youtube link made me laugh for the first time in days. Thanks, I needed that. :D

You guys, I just -

It's the winkies, I just can't deal. The official Mass Effect twitter can't stop using them either, and I just - it makes me so aggressive.

Somebody please help me get my perspective back. I need to go to bed, but I'm super agitated.  I just - can't tell if trolling, honest well-intentioned lack of understanding of the situation, or buying time by throwing body between fans and upper management.

Just pretend that you went renegade and poked them in the eye and they're not winking, they're just nursing a sore eye ;)

Pfftt - you're right, that helps.

I am not even mad at Bioware, you know?  And I know everybody probably has to watch their mouth until they figure out an official position to take.  I just keep getting this horrible fear that it isn't just carefully-calculated management speak and maybe they don't actually Get It.

I fully support this product and/or service.  Also one of the greatest exchanges ever to be found in any game.  Or movie.  Or anything.

I keep thinking I'm going to start another one - maybe NG+ to see if I can find the sidequests I apparently missed somewhere along the way (I had no idea Conrad Verner was even IN this game) - and then I just remember that ending sequence, and can't do it.

It still amazes me how, in ten minutes, the game turns on it's ear so violently that it manages to make the whole rest of the experience just as meaningless as those ten mintues.

I had to explain why I was so angry to non gamers.

"It's like getting all emotionally invested in the Seals in Act of Valor, right? You're at the funeral and just after taps is played, the guy that died jumps out of the coffin wearing the same clown costume from the movie IT and sprays everyone with tomato juice then they all explode into candy.

That's the kind of slap in the face the ME3 endings were."

I think they agree... that I am crazy.

Someone posted a thread about how much they loved the endings. And it's higher on the bump list than this one... At only three pages.

You should be upset with depressing and dark, if you played your character to get a postive, fulfilling ending.  Sure if you played dark shepard and you went the death or glory path, so be it, but there's nothing whatsoever wrong with wanting a positive ending after working so damn hard to make the universe a better place.

That's the essance of "your choices matter" gameplay.

Don't let some pseudo-intellectual game review nerd tell you that you're less of a gamer because you don't want their dark, depressing ending.  If I want dark and depressing, I'll turn the damn game off and go back to work.  I busted my hump to make the universe a brighter place, and win the heart of the lovely lady, and slay the monstrous evil, I deserve an ending that at least acknowledges any of that.  I want the ending where I beat the reapers, save the galaxy, establish a new era of peace, have statues built in my honor, and ride off into the sunset with my girl fully intending to start / adopt a family, build a life, and grow old together.

Now if dark and depressing is your thing, that should be an option too, what's fair for one is fair for all.  I just don't like this need we all seem to have to apologize for wanting a choice appropriate ending.  One with closure, or (gasp) logic.

Just so you know I put my money where my mouth is, here's how I would end ME3.  tinyurl.com/88275wk  Read mine, post yours.

I definitely wanted something more fitting for my Shep's story.  I mean, when the paragon option worked to get the Quarian fleet to back down, I was flying high.  Wrex's speach after curing the genophage was epic.  So I didn't really want dark or depressing, I was just highlighting (with no background or context since those on the internet can read my mind ;p) that a more depressing ending would've felt better than what we got provided it had some closure.  But I agree with your points, I had 10 playthroughs from ME2 ready to go and I don't know if I'll do a single one of them and go through the awesome epic that is the first 41 hours 23 minutes only to have the last 10 minutes be that same thing with some window dressing differences.

Does anyone else interpret "We respect your opinion" from the official Twitter account as really meaning "We don't, in fact, care"?

Because I'm getting that vibe.

You know, at this point I'm almost hoping it's just a ploy for more money through paid ending DLC.

If it is, I'll never give another cent to Bioware and EA, but at least I'll be able to stomach playing any sort of video game. Which is sad, because I love Bioware to death. They've made pretty much every one of my personal top 10 games. ToR, Mass Effect 1, Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3(still a badass game even with the craptastic endings), Baldur's Gate, KoToR, Dragon Age, and Jade Empire. Only other games in my top ten, Half Life 2 and Portal, were Valve's.

It'll have to be a love-hate relationship from now on. :P

Hmm.... I'll quote Ash on this one, hopefully it is, in fact not accurate, but can't really help the vibe.
