Nah.

That's what the bioware tweets are trying to create out of thin air - this idea, here.  But nah.  Completely mishandled.  In a way - follow me down here, for a sec - there is more integrity to "geez, we were really happy with our endings and are kinda shocked at the negative reacion" then "ha HAH!  We've just been jerking you around for some cheap trick and are smugly waiting back to say i told you so, by eventually revealing what we meant to do all along!"

Just no.  If it's the latter, I'm outta here.

I'm itching with curiosity though lol, I wish they'd make a statement already!

Even if Bioware pulls something out and it turns out they did have it all planned. I still won't feel like an idiot. If anything I'll lose serious respect points for Bioware.

There was the whole drama over the From Ashes DLC and day 1 content. But if Bioware pulls something like that... Well, you know what else should be on the game disc? THE ENDING.

Even if they were/are going for an indoctrination thing. They could have let the ending play out as exists, then roll the credits. Then after the credits spring the whole TROLOLOL INDOCTRINATED thing on the player. Still achieves what they were going for without the BS of alienating and ignoring their fanbase.

Pretty much this. While my respect for their writing capabilities will be fully restored, my faith in their PR and marketing will hit rock bottom. Any real metagame activities run by the devs should always be done BEFORE the game launches. (Reference: Halo's alternate reality games, ilovebees for H2 and IRIS for H3) Things like that can be fun, but shouldn't hold the final conclusion until after release. That's just poor form, no matter how much publicity it gets.

You know what though?  I'll gladly look like an idiot if Bioware has something up their sleeve.  I'll look like the biggest, loudest, douchiest idiot ever if I can have what I want.

I don't think we will, though. It's their fault for keeping it a secret for so long. They could have just said "just sit tight and wait because we have a surprise for you guys" officially, not by random tweets. We just have a normal reaction to the situation. I mean, we are even doing charity! :)
The ones that will look the worst will be the journalists/critics who have gone against us and said that the ending had closure...if Bioware IS planning something, the ending obviously isn't supposed to bring us closure. Quite the contrary, it is incomplete, so...

Yeah I don't think it's unreasonable at all to expect that the final game ending be, you know, the one on the disc.  Even if Bioware said, "Surprise, we fooled you!  There's an additional ending coming along!"  Well fine, that's great but 1) Why not put it there originally and put fans through all this grief and 2) What about those people who don't have internet connections?

I think one of my issuse is that not everyone wanted the same ending some wanted the heroic sacrafice (that did not feel heroinc only forced) some wanted the happy ever after others just want somthing that make sense (or mabe we all want that) I can forgive a lot all I wanted was a short CGI or a pic showing shep and LI together an DA:O style slideshow for the happy ending it would give the player somthing to work towards as it stands there is no point. same thing no matter what.

You're not alone... Hackett has a sexy voice

...Garrus' voice is sexier.

Seriously, I have had a fangirl crush on Garrus ever since his first lines in the original ME.
Dat voice!

Peh, the important part is that you came to hold the line with us, doesn't matter if it was some arbitrary period of 'being late', party's still going on. Welcome to the fight soldier. Keelah se'lai.

Thank you for the welcome :)  Keelah se'lai.

You are not late, the party is still going, and hopefully will go on for some time.

The box does say that an internet connection is required.  Since it requires activation, you wouldn't be able to play without one.

Pretty much. And I do hope the idea of replacing a charity drive for an SDK push was a joke that was in really poor taste...

And it's getting late here.... have classes tomorrow...

I should go. Hold the line siblings in arms. Keelah se'lai.

Does anyone know how to contact a major news source and tell them about the charity? Like Forbes or MSNBC. Hell, I'd even take Fox lol.

Beat the game on Sunday. I move between Anger, Bargaining and Depression at various times, but never am I satisfied with how things went down, especially considering how I was ready to declare this game the best of all-time moments before the credits started rolling.

You can consider me a part of this cause. I'm holding this line for as long as it takes

Be civil please. The game was fanatasic. It was beautiful and epic up until the end - Bioware deserves better than to be insulted.

I'm sorry, but I only have a fangirl crush on Alistair...oh wait, that's the wrong game. Oops.
Haha. But yeah, "Hackett out" was like...the best. And I DO like Garrus' voice...<3

If something makes you feel good and you gain enjoyment from it (as a feeling), that is all there is to it and that is your answer in principle. I enjoyed the ending, it felt good to me and I do not feel the need to over analyse it myself in sense of knowing every single thing is wrapped up or explained to me.

You're basically saying that it's irrelevant whether it made any sense or not, and 'all that there is to it' is the warm, fuzzy feeling you got at the end. Why go through the trouble of writing about any of this, though? Why not post a picture of someone taking a bubble bath or something?

People are complaining, because 'negative vibes' got aroused in them, due to the utter lack of meaning at the end.

In relation to the the image they used, was there ever a reply to the turian councilor's "Ah yes, 'Reapers'." line in ME3? I never saw one. I was expecting some kind of witty "I told you so" remark.

There's one dialog option right after you meet the Council the first time when he comes to see you in Udina's office. You tell him "I told you this would happen and you did nothing" to which he replies something like "We can argue de past later if you want, for now I'm worried about the future".

The only Councillor who's saying something smart about their lack of trust is Tevos during the Cerberus plot, while Udina claims Shepard is with Cerberus she says "We mistrusted Shepard before and it didn't help us".

'bout freaking time...

That's exactly how I felt. I kept thinking maybe if I went back I could somehow change it with the force of my mind and willpower. Of course, I ain't no biotic so nothing happened but let's aim those feelings into holding the line!

If you are playing on a console, nope. Remember: not everyone plays their games on a PC (I sure don't) ;)

Sadly, I read about the endings prior to the game's release, but refused to believe it until I saw it firsthand so I could've been here a lot sooner, and I beat the game days ago...but I just kept waiting for Bioware to at least say something  Oh well, I'm glad I'm here now ^_^
