Wow. Ben Kucherra is being a dick. I had hopes for the guy and for the PAR since, well, Mike and Jerry over at PA hold down their fort pretty damn well. But reading the way this guy is interacting with ME fans... I really don't like it at all.

I'll ruminate on it for a day, but we may want to contact the PA guys and let them know how he's being a jerk to us, especially when many of us are donating to their charity.

...I'm still ticked off at the final scene with (therearesomewhocallme) TIM. My shep was about 95% paragon, so it absolutely makes sense that my only option is to shoot him in the face and not try to reach out to him: totally consistent with my character. And not at all annoying that the VERY LAST REAL DIALOGUE CHOICE I have in the game with ye olde Blue / Red options are both completely locked out to me.

I keep asking Whisky Tango Foxtrot, but at this point I'm tired of the dancing and heading right for Whisky.

Wait, wait...WHAT how is this possable!?

Very easily.  "The ME universe" != "Shepard."  There's been rumours of an MMO, and there are many ways new single-player games could be set in... what's left... of the ME universe.  Of course, they have to sort the bloody mangled mess that is this ending first.  I can picture the discussion...

"Well, we'd like to set another game in the ME universe.  We've trashed all the Mass Relays, wiped out a sizable number of planets, made Joker and EDI into Adam and Eve on some nameless random garden world they mysteriously teleported to, made the one of the players' favorite characters they chose as a RI into a grieving traumatized widow, and stranded everyone who was at all interesting or helpful in orbit around a demolished Earth... providing, of course, they survived the explosion of the Citadel.  What have we got to work with?"

"..."

"...hey, how about Dragon Age 3?"

Considering how well they have handled themselves in SW:TOR and how great a game DA2 and ME3 were, I will have to politely say "Thank you, but no thank you."

As it is, I am not renewing my SW:TOR subs, (use gamecard, so no reason to cancel, just let it die out and I can still watch the forums) plus my late experience with DA2 which was less than gratifying and finally this ...... with ME3 which in my opinion totally discredited Bioware as a developer and EA as a publisher.

From Wiki

Tragedy (Ancient Greek: τραγῳδία, tragōidia, "he-goat-song"[1]) is a form of drama based on human suffering that invokes in its audience an accompanying catharsis or pleasure in the viewing

It does fit our situation, doesn't it?

Combine them with the lack of knowledge about the situation and you get a special kind of person

Yeah, it sucks.  One of my friends is exactly like that; he's never played more than ME2, and he finished that last week, so he's rippinng me for every post I make on Facebook.

The ME3 endings have literally started a flamewar between my friends...  ME3 is a curse ,I tell you, lol

I too wondered why that last dialogue option is grayed out.

If it's locked to only those who don't have a single renegade point for the upper, or a single paragon point for the lower, that's pretty crappy mechanics.

Still, a minor wavelet in the ocean of misery that is the ending.

Well first he wrote an article belittling all of us and calling us entitled, insinuating that we're spoiled, etc. and defending the ending that BioWare made.

Now he's been continuing with that on Twitter and blocking anybody and everybody who mentions ME3 to him.

THEN he looked at the charity and was incredibly snarky and sarcastic in a tweet he (apparently) just deleted. I hope someone screen-grabbed it.

This. <_<

Also many are assuming why fans are angry...instead of I don't know.....asking the pissed off/disappointed fans. And as I've said before, I paid for the game. Anyone that has paid for or rented the game has the right to complain.

I had both Paragon and Renegade optons available to me all the way through. Well until I shot him with the renegade interrupt. Is there another one after that?

The Poll:
http://social.biowar...06/polls/28989/

90% at over 37,000 votes is option one, "please no make it stop aaaargh." I might be paraphrasing option one ;). One week after release. Consider a small subset of people have finished; a small subset of them found their way here to these boards (i found this threadnaught via google); a subset of us here voted. Approaching forty thousand. I think it can clearly be stated now, with stats to back it, that this is a disaster. Sigh.

(I really did find this via Google. I honestly thought I had really screwed up my game when there was no good choice, and just three horrible endings to choose from, and no explanation for Godboi. moarsigh)

So imagine if the 40k people in the poll that hated the endings, donated just 1 dollar to Child's Play, we've got 26k+ from less than 1000 contributors!

There was a Renegade interruption....when?!? I never got this. Maybe because I picked all Paragon options?

I know... so annoying. The guide says that every time you talk with TIM during the game, you have to either pick the Paragon or Renegade option. I think it is around five times including the few at the end. If you do, you get the final one. I got it, but my friend who missed the first one (during the Mars mission) didn't even though she was just as much of a Paragon as me.
