Seems Mike Krahulik doesn't mind the ending.

Good for him.  You know, something interesting happens when you examine the logic behind such a statement: the implication is "Something doesn't bother me, so the opinions of the 40,000 people who can't stand it are all completely invalid, and they are a childish whiny minority despite the fact that I'm one guy whining about their opinion."

Ah, logic, we hardly knew ye.

Woah, Hold on this right here is what's getting us bit in the public circles. He didn't make any comment on the fan reaction or that their wrong. Just that it didn't bother him.

Lol, co-founder of Child's Play is fine with the endings. THE IRONY!!!

Yeah, well.  Awfully clever of him to throw rotten fruit at the people who just raised him 25k, but don't let his inherent putzness detract from the charity itself.

Mmm, sorry - in context, this doesn't fit.  If it doesn't bother him, great.  If he came and engaged in discussion, awesome.  But a public - twitter is meant to be seen by the world - dismissive simple statement like this, in the context of the ongoing debate, is very much a backhand.

Quick question do we know for sure it was Harbingers beam that hits us when we're running to get ported to the Citadel?

Yes, because he is the evil villain of the game. Now seriously, before you get to the beam, someone says over the radio that Harbinger has left the Citadel and is moving towards the beam with other reapers. Since harbinger was the villain of ME2 and ME3, it is only logical that it's him/it firing at us..

On the other hand, since logic was thrown out of the window, maybe it was Megatron disguised firing at us.... That would actually make more sense than the actual ending...

Oh my God, I just understood what EA/Bioware did..

Earth is meant to become the New Cybertron, and the reapers are in fact Autobots/Decepticons in disguise.. That's it, it has to be it...

who am I kidding....

That would be a better ending than what we've got currently! :wizard:

I'm sure he only gave such a brief response as it was clear people were keeping an eye on his Twitter to see what he said. If he wants to talk more about it, I'm sure he'll do so in a PA News post.

Its fine, he doesn't mind them.  Let the guy be. He's not the one bashing us anyway (still).

I dont know how the endings passed quility testing, you would think the game testers would have pointed out the obvious flaws. Great game but like the majority are saying, all endings are basically the same with the exception of shepard surviving in one and the obvious plot holes in all endings.

What this does tell us is that people from all over the gaming community are aware of the movement. That is an accomplishment in itself.

Its funny that he didn't know that ME1 ME 2 and ME3  had choice up until the last 20 min.

I would point him in the direction of this editorial that explains the problem of ME 3's ending or lack there of.

Can we make a public statement as well regarding his lack of interest and sympathy to our situation? I am not saying that he has to agree with us in any moment, since he is "entitled" to his opinion. But considering everything that is going on, so are we.. He could have easily said that "despite the fact that the ending didn't bother him, he could see why it could bother others..."

For anyone outside this forum that might read this, WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR CHARITY! WE ONLY SEEK UNDERSTANDING....

At this point, putting on my business hat tells me that hallucination/indoctrination theory is only way otherwise this will be the biggest failure in video gaming history for a long time. I can only view these endings as a way to sell DLC for when shep wakes up if u chose the destroy option. Given they already had day 1 DLC, probability is small but growing bigger in my mind. I just can't see how they made everything up to the last 20 mins of this game and decide to just flub it. This has to be some kind of revenue generation scheme....although it might of backfired.

Realistically, it should all conclude in the game you buy and DLC is for extra missions. not sure who in their finance team drove this idea that they needed to create a new cash flow for the actual story closure piece. In effect, I expected a halo reach type event for a correct choice in the event of indoctrination. You wake up after tellin harby to eat a bowl of $&@$s and shoot out the capacitors. Then you have a massive fight to the finish and boom epilogue depending on how much of a paragon or badass you were.

The route they chose is just so confusing because you run a risk massively alienating guaranteed cash flows for this title and many titles in perpetuity. Any 4th year undergrad finance guy can run situation variance tests and tell u that destroying baselines perpetuity cash flows is a bad way to run any model.

There was a Renegade interruption....when?!? I never got this. Maybe because I picked all Paragon options?

I picked Paragon twice and then Renegade on the third to try to drill it into his head that he failed Humanity, he raised his gun so I didn't hesitate for a second to use the renegade interrupt. Much rather shoot him than have him commit suicide.

Thanks for letting me know!

About the whole whinny/complainers/entitlement thing, were the same comments made about Fallout 3 fans that disliked the ending and wanted it changed? And look what happened after they voiced their opinions....Broken Steel! One of the best DLCs I've ever played - which I am sure many people would agree with.

I think some people are forgetting that these reactions have happened before...and have been successful.

Ok people let's keep this civil. Just because we donated to his charity doesn't mean he has to agree with the reason we made this drive. There ARE people out there who didn't mind the ending, and that's not because they're evil and/or greedy. We're asking bioware to change the ending since in our opinion it sucked, flaming someone who has the opposite opinion on the ending is hippocritical at best. We are donating to this charity simply to put our money where our mouth is and help a good cause, not for celebrity support.

I didn't play it. I didn't even know it existed till I read about it in this thread. I just felt empty that my main had died due to radiation poisoning, right when that paladin girl was hiting on him... So sad...

PS. I mean the DLC Broken Steel, not the game...
