So we can't get the ending we want after all?

Mmm, sorry - in context, this doesn't fit. If it doesn't bother him, great. If he came and engaged in discussion, awesome. But a public - twitter is meant to be seen by the world - dismissive simple statement like this, in the context of the ongoing debate, is very much a backhand.arabold wrote...

Good for him. You know, something interesting happens when you examine the logic behind such a statement: the implication is "Something doesn't bother me, so the opinions of the 40,000 people who can't stand it are all completely invalid, and they are a childish whiny minority despite the fact that I'm one guy whining about their opinion."ArmyKnifeX wrote...

Seems Mike Krahulik doesn't mind the ending.
Ah, logic, we hardly knew ye.
Woah, Hold on this right here is what's getting us bit in the public circles. He didn't make any comment on the fan reaction or that their wrong. Just that it didn't bother him.
Can we make a public statement as well regarding his lack of interest and sympathy to our situation? I am not saying that he has to agree with us in any moment, since he is "entitled" to his opinion. But considering everything that is going on, so are we.. He could have easily said that "despite the fact that the ending didn't bother him, he could see why it could bother others..."
For anyone outside this forum that might read this, WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR CHARITY! WE ONLY SEEK UNDERSTANDING....
We can, but knee jerk rage is not going to help anything.

Give him/them time. He just finished the game a couple minutes ago. I'd keep an eye on PA until he's had a chance to collect his thoughts. This tendency to read into/take all disagreements personally is only going to decrease our credibility. What's so incredible about this movement is that we all want to go about doing things the right way, not launch personal attacks/flame wars. Remember too, this is all a lot of us are focused on at the moment, we need to give the rest of the world a chance to catch up and see where we're coming from. Losing our cool now will only make people stop listening/destroy all the work we've done up until this point.
Exactly this. ^

Bioware repeatedly lied about the "endings", most notable example:

Keep holding the ****ing line.
Heck, I've seen A, B, C endings more diverse than the ones we got.
Only difference between the ones we got are the colors of the SPACE Magic

Gah, this has all been said before a million times. The Godboi's entire foundation is horse hooey; as Shep, you can prove everything he says wrong, and probably have. You can show up with a Synthetic. You have a fleet of synthetics working side by side with their creators. So I suppose when Bioware's official channels sniff that we "just don't get it," I guess they're right. I don't get how such huge obvious logical holes could be approved for release.

Here's where it gets worse, hang on: apparently, if you choose Paragon, he doesn't shoot Anderson, realizes you're right, and blows his own head off. But Anderson dies anyway and you have the same three choices with Godboi.
That's weird, I chose all Paragon and he made me shoot Anderson.
Yeah my Female Shep was my good girl and was pure Paragon in ME 2 & 3 and she still Shot Anderson and I had to shoot TIM or he shot me (tried it to she if I didn't take the renegade interupt). The guide says if you use persuasion on TIM all through the game you can get him to shoot himself, didn't happen.

I mean how did the Catalyst know that that kid was bothering Shepard so much? I mean how could it take that form? Shepard had to be conjuring it all in his noggin

The only acceptable answer is space magic.

There was a Renegade interruption....when?!? I never got this. Maybe because I picked all Paragon options?
I picked Paragon twice and then Renegade on the third to try to drill it into his head that he failed Humanity, he raised his gun so I didn't hesitate for a second to use the renegade interrupt. Much rather shoot him than have him commit suicide.
Thanks for letting me know!
About the whole whinny/complainers/entitlement thing, were the same comments made about Fallout 3 fans that disliked the ending and wanted it changed? And look what happened after they voiced their opinions....Broken Steel! One of the best DLCs I've ever played - which I am sure many people would agree with.
I think some people are forgetting that these reactions have happened before...and have been successful.
I didn't play it. I didn't even know it existed till I read about it in this thread. I just felt empty that my main had died due to radiation poisoning, right when that paladin girl was hiting on him... So sad...
PS. I mean the DLC Broken Steel, not the game...
Even then....Fallout 3 has more options than ME3 - at least to a certain extent. Your character could die or you could force someone else to do it. And the ending makes sense!! Ah...*sighs*
Anyway, it's late here. Heading to bed. Can't wait to see where the charity is tomorrow morning!! Also looking forward to hearing about anymore positive news (more media attention, ME/Bioware response, etc.)!!

I'm still weirded out that the only option to show even a hint at Shep surviving is if you choose to kill all synthetics, using a system that can't tell the difference between Reapers and Geth, but somehow spares your partly-synthetic self? Not to mention the idea that only being a genocidal bastard lets you live. Hey Geth, remember how hard we all worked to save y'all and the Quarians from each other?

Yea, I mean Shepard was synthetic enough to be hacked in Overlord.
Yet another thing to add to the long list of plot holes...

Meh. You have some points there, but still, as the co-founder of the charity we're donating to, making random out of context comments like that is simply inappropriate. It's not how things are done, and say what you will about EA's official channels and legal clearances, there's a reason they don't allow unrestricted communications from anyone in the company. It's just inappropriate. If he had nothing more to say than that, he should have said nothing yet.baronkohinar wrote...

Come on, Kotaku - can you try to be at least somewhat impartial?
Wow, just... wow. At this point I honestly hope BioWare comes out and says something regarding their fans and how the media should not be belittling them for having an investment in one of their products. I'm going to keep holding the line but man does it suck to be standing out in the open.
Besides Yuoaman, we know they're indoctirnated.
